She looks old on that show

About a decade or so ago NBC was talking about rebooting the series with Xena as a full-on lesbian. I would have tuned in every week, provided they nailed the casting. Alas, the stuck-up suits realized this and decided not to go forward with the series.

That show went to shite when it went full lesbian. After that, all they did was wear wolf skins and chant at the moon with their lesbian cave bear clan. The last season was unwatchable.

I post this in almost every Xena thread, but Lucy Lawless is an angel and the nicest celebrity I've met. She's almost literally glows.

She's a legitimately good human being. Never let her fame get to her, even when it was it's peak.

My father-in-law was a huge fan, and when he finally got to meet her was struck by two things:

1. How short she is in real life
2. How undeniably sweet she is (making time for all her fans, young and old)

He got her autograph that day. Up until he passed away that was one of his favorite stories, and my wife still loves to tell it.

I found myself at a party in a circle talking to Lucy, her beau, two teachers from Spain, and a German couple. She was so engaging. Later on she also goaded me into taking a two-story beer bong, I mean you can't tell Xena no. Last time I talked to her at that party she was outside with a trash bag cleaning up garbage and red solo cups from the party.

That entire series Xena and Hercules had some of the finest women on T.V. I mean shite, they had Aphrodite actress walking around in a frigging pink laced teddy lingerie!
