I didn't mind 7. It was purely nostalgia. I saw 8 in the theater; Haven't watched it again. So bad. That is what happens when you hand a franchise to a political hack. 9 is just a lost cause. Abrams tried to get back to the original plan, but that plan was ill conceived from the jump. I'd love a "reboot". If other franchises can do it, why not Star Wars? Jump forward a few centuries and tell new stories.

i can still remember the feeling of sitting in the theater on release day SUPER excited only to watch this mom-joke intro within the first few minutes of the film. my stomach got that sinking feeling like...oh, no what is this. and it was all downhill from there.
I immediately thought of the opening scene of Thor: Ragnarok where he is talking to Surtur while chained up and I physically groaned.

Could you imagine what Tarkin would have done in response to that stupidity? He would have cut the call immediately and then destroyed a rebel base.

I blame Marvel more than anything, and Taika Waititi and James Gunn primarily, for the advancement of the “retarded humor” that became so pervasive in cinema.

9 has literally the most retarded writing I’ve ever seen in a movie

Of all the dumb writing in the sequel trilogies, the dumbest thing was by far that an ancient sith dagger or some shite lined up with death star wreckage that occurred 30 years ago.

Yep. Really was up there with some of the dumbest things i've seen. I had one person once try and argue that it wasn't any dumber than the Goonie's medallion key, which is a beloved movie. Just had to blank stare at them for a second. You think that pirates, making a landmark key AFTER they buried their treasure so they could find it again, is anywhere comprable to a dagger made many, many years before the death star wrecked?

8 was bad enough that I didn’t even watch 9.

Currently playing Knights of the Old Republic 2 again and Treia, Nihilus, and Sion are infinitely better villains than anything in any Disney Star Wars.

Sion is so filled with hate and rage that he wouldn’t let his body die.

Nihilus was basically a force black hole and leech.

Treia used 3 lightsabers in battle through only the force and was a master at manipulation and whispering in the minds of others.

Meetra Surik is so much better of a female protagonist than anything they could write.

Stop letting JJ off the hook because Rian made a bad movie. JJ made a worse one.

You have this backwards.

In my opinion.

The Last Jedi was dumb, but The Rise of Skywalker was by far the worst movie of that pathetic trilogy.

This makes me so happy i have never watched these turds and i was a big star wars fan growing up.
