That was the final straw for me. I was trying to keep the faith through all that BS. But that scene was retarded. I started roasting the film after that.
Ive never left a theater and had the feeling I did that night. It felt like we started the first day of clown world.

I also hated that Akbar was just killed off in that scene and control given to an admiral who only wears evening gowns and no one has seen before.
Ackbar should have at least done the holdo maneuver and yelled out "it's a trap " then movie would be a D but an F from me.

Here's about a 20 minute segment of TROS:
Our heroes have to go to a desert planet to find the video game McGuffin dagger to find the evil sith world. Once there, they get into two different speeders, which get chased around the desert by the bad guys. One speeder gets shot down, all good guys safely fall to the ground. Moments later, the second speeder gets shot down in the exact same spot, so out heroes are all sitting in the sand together. Then and only then does the ground reveal itself to be space quicksand. They sink into a tunnel (the roof of which is space quicksand) and wouldn't you know it? The dagger McGuffin is just a few feet from where they sank into the tunnel, on an entire planet.
They grab the knife and on their way out of the tunnel, they encounter a giant space snake, which is injured and has to be healed with Rey's previously unknown jedi healing powers, just so they can establish that she has that ability for later.
She heals the snake and they get out of the tunnels, walk about 50 yards before discovering that they are in the exact right spot to hold up the knife and see the final space clue.
It's like it was written by idiot children playing in a sandbox.
