Just finished the 3rd episode and so far I like it, Hell I love it.
Could be Netflix’s best marvel show. The action is top notch and the story has enough grit to it to keep the audience wanting more.

So quick question about the series, is it a prequel? I remember Jon Berethal saying that it might take place prior to Daredevil and all that and right around the time when he comes home from serving/when his family is killed.
Or does it fall in line with the regular timeline of events?

No it picks up I’m guessing a few months after his departure from DD. Karen is in it too.

I am on episode 10 and he just wasted a bunch of red shirts. Pretty good. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are unwatchable, dare devil is ok and better the second season. So far this is the best Marvel on Netflix. He is the punisher but takes a lot of abuse himself.

These shows on Netflix have worked in part because they’re as much gritty crime drama as superhero show and Punisher is the grittiest one yet. I can see where it’s not for everyone but I really liked it. This is the first NetFlix MCU show that was carried by the good guys being as interesting as the bad guys.
I also thought it did a good job of portraying the difficulty vets have reintegrating into society. It won’t get recognition for this like LC got hype for taking on “social issues” but it should.

The show has been awesome so far, but god damn I hate the Lewis guy’s voice. It annoyed me when he played, basically the exact same character in 11.22.63. And it still aggravated me now. Like nails on a chalkboard

He's the only thing I didn't like about the show. Just no subtlety at all (like the "they took our jerbs" fat Irish guy with the NRA hat).
