That was my thought watching the episode last night

I didn't think it the wokeness was so obvious that it slaps you in the face. Haven't seen Episode 2 yet.

its not too bad in episodes 1-6 or 7, but it got ratcheted up in E11.

Still not as bad as LAw and Order SVU. I walk out when my wife watches that show. Its just too much.

Whew.

Let’s all collectively exhale . That was such a fast 40 minute episode

But great. With Robby assembling the troops and putting the plan into motion

Dr. king ( what a rockstar). She’s so great

Javadi- stepping up to her mom and even teaching her some new tricks In an emergency situation

Langdon-my eyes bugged out when I saw him. The tension between he and santos was thiccccccc.

The newbies showed up and out in the crisis.

Dr Jack abbot is a badarse.

The night is still young though and next episode where tough choices will have to be made with resources .

Every bit as good as ER.

ALMOST as good as Grey's Anatomy.

okay... that last thing was sarcasm.

if this show was Grey's a gay nurse would have tried to give blood and it would turn into a monologue about that.

here is an article on the ER in Vegas after the shooting. The Pitt definitely pulled from this

Santos might be one of the more hate-able characters I've seen recently

The pace of this episode was off the charts. This is the best TV I’ve seen in years.

I was exhausted after this episode. ER doc is top of my list for the job I would not think about having.

We said the same thing last night. Reminded me of a very good network tv show from years past...haven't seen something like this on network tv or streaming in years.

Couldn’t help but notice the penis shot from one of the patients. White Lotus, Righteous Gemstones and now The Pitt. Penises everywhere on MAX

All jokes aside, it was another great episode. Intense! Surely his son will be fine, right? We can’t have any more dramatic deaths in the last 3 episodes.

With all the flashbacks to the doctor that was his mentor season two being about him dealing with his son's death it would just be too repetitive too predictable

I bet the girlfriend was injured the pseudo step son in with/ concerned about the girlfriend, maybe even rendering aid in some fashioned,,,a lesson learned
There's a moment of utter relief and happiness and joy and then he goes back to work

Very fast!

I was shocked when the credits rolled, felt like 20 minutes then an abrupt end.

Also felt like for all the action, the storyline didn't advance a whole lot... pill Dr came back, but that's all I noticed.

True. But we CAN have a dramatic cliffhanger to be resolved in the next season.

With the way this show has gone so far I fully expect at least one more. At first I thought this episode was going to be slower paced, I was wrong about that.

The little girl that drowned after she saved her sister. That was an ER level devastating revelation

When that was revealed, holy shite, brutal. Me and my wife just sat there when it ended for like 10 minutes. Didn’t say a word. I’ve enjoyed this show. They do shoehorn some trendy social issues in there but it hasn’t been too preachy.

True. Like it or not, what they show does exist. They simply show it, more in an "in passing" way, not focusing on it, not using it as a platform. It simply... exists. And then is gone. If that makes sense. Much better than some preachy, beat you over the head and force you to accept it BS.

Agree with this & love the show! It would be nice not to force some of the issues down our throat as we watch tv to escape. But at least they do it in a way that isn't aggravating. Grey's Anatomy & The Resident were off the charts ridiculous as seasons went on.
