Very fast!

I was shocked when the credits rolled, felt like 20 minutes then an abrupt end.

Also felt like for all the action, the storyline didn't advance a whole lot... pill Dr came back, but that's all I noticed.

That's how I know how good this show is...it felt like minutes.

I wasn't looking for advancement in characters every episode. The characters are an aside that we just happen to learn tiny bits about during each episode. The ER and the stories of the patients being treated and all that includes is the story of this show, IMHO.

Have no idea how these things actually work but, the preparation seemed pretty impressive. Having Robby and Abbot there probably avoided a lot of confusion.

This was literally my favorite thing about this episode. I don't think anyone outside of those working in hospitals have any idea how prepared we are for all types of crises. My hospital is a small post acute and we drill and plan a ton. A large trauma center does an unbelievable amount of drilling and plan for these types of events. We do mock drills, table top drills, and there are plenty of small events that stand up incident command. I'm sure every hospital out there has called a lockdown for some reason. The EOC (Environment of Care) and Safety committes for every hospital are no joke. Every major weather event (especially our hurricanes) has incident command. Every single time all our departments report how many days supplies we have, deal with emergency staffing issues, etc. A hospital's preparedness level for emergencies is just below the police and fire departments.

I loved how they mentioned central supply and EVS (environmental services) in this episode. They are a very important part of keeping everything going and I don't think I've ever really heard them mentioned in a medical show other than people making out in the supply room on Gray's.

I also don't think Langdon by any means "saved the day." The only reason he didn't get kicked out is there was too much going on to deal with him.

Whew

Oh my god.

This really is the best show on tv at the moment .

Robby has held it together all day for the most part but his castle is crumbling quickly

He’s getting an Emmy nomination for sure.

Another absolute hell of an episode. Robby completely hitting the wall and having a full blown panic attack felt inevitable and we’ve finally arrived. Insane the pacing of this show and ending the episode as Robby runs through every person he’s had to watch die today before he even gets to the gunshot victims… good luck to anyone who tries to binge this whole season in one go, it’s like the last leg of a marathon at this point - got to keep going but man does it fricking hurt.

Poor Dr. carter! Gonna make him start taking pain pills again.

On the real what a great episode! Better than the last. So sad about Jake's gf. Abbott is a a bad arse, Whitaker is kinda goofy and dumb but I like him, Santos is a good doc but hard to like. Im glad no one lost an arm like the doc on ER getting the blood. Not sure if David is the shooter. Langdon was acting a bit odd this episode. Im curious what they do to him after the chaos settles.

I don’t think David is the shooter. Way too much carnage for one person.

Max CEO announced a reasonable wait for season 2 compared to the other popular shows.

quote:

"The second season will premiere in January of 2026, a year later than Season 1. This model of more episodes cuts down on the gap between seasons. On the platform, we have shows like 'House of the Dragon,' 'The Last of Us' and 'White Lotus,' which, because of how they’re made, can take two years to make. What I love about something like 'The Pitt' is, I can get 15 episodes in a year. That’s a really great addition to what we’re already doing on the platform. And I’d like to do more shows in this model.

Another great episode. Jake was being a bit of a bitch though.

I was coming here to post that same thing. His character is really unlikable.

Fair enough.

Way too much carnage for a teenager to pull off would have been a better way to word it.

He didn't seem to know what he was walking into, I didn't think.

So, did the kid do ANYthing?

Who DID do the shooting? Angry, punching patient? Someone that hasn't been on screen yet?

I just think we will find out it was some shooter or shooters we haven’t seen yet.

In his breakdown he said to Jake (after he asked Robby how he let her die - btw wtf?):

“I’m going to remember Leah long after you’ve forgotten her.”

That was some serious acting there. Best show in TV right now for me.

if we keep with the usual narrative...a white nationalist male who loves MAGA, God, and lives in the south. Couldn't possibly be a tranny kid like the Nashville shooter or a angry foreign student. Has to be a white male.

Its a good show but teetered on the rails of over the top last night. I've liked it because it kept the sensationalism to a minimum to none. Just felt like there were a few things last night that were a bit much. Hopefully they don't lose sight of the realism in the first 8-10 episodes that make it different and better than the usual doctor type soap operas I've seen.

Wouldn’t be shocked if the season /shift ends and we don’t know the shooter

In terms of the show, it’s irrelevant, the show is about the heroes and the team and how they saved the victims and the show must go on

My theory is the shooter is the same guy that punched the nurse in the face

Reddit theory is that it was Langdon.

I don't agree with that theory. But, I did find it odd that multiple times last night it showed him looking around.
