Can’t believe Santos was right about Langdon
maybe cause i am related (or was pre-divorce) to a guy that pulled a Langdon. I knew she'd be right about it.
Even with some of the heavy-handed writing in the show like the nurses bitching, it is very refreshing to watch a show that completes a story line pretty quickly. It's refreshing after watching nothing happen on white lotus and Severance

The women fighting over the mask issue is believable. As us the doctor being pro mask.
Funniest part about that scene is the fact that we've yet to see any of these docs\nurses in the ER wear a mask even during surgeries

Another great episode. That punch came out of nowhere!

But, Robby's rebuttal to the boss was perfect.

Langdon went off on Santos.
Then That ending….im glad the assault wasn’t much more vicious and violent although the punch was bad enough … this show is relentless and from the preview, next week is just as tough and intense
The potential violence against healthcare workers is so realistic. Our providers see people who are at their worst and many of whom ended up in the ER due to their bad decision making (alcoholics, druggies, criminals, etc.) We get a lot of workplace violence and de-escalation training.

That surprised me. I don’t see how someone hooked on Benzos could preform at that level, unless he’s taking something else with them.
My CNO called it on Langdon after episode 2. He'd seen it before and knew all the signs. Also, everyone at the hospital says Ativan instead of Benzos. Santos is annoying and overzealous. They are gradually revealing the stories of the residents through their cases. I'm looking forward to seeing her background. She probably had a drug abuser that she was close to, a sibling or parent.

Langdon can be a dick but Santos definitely needed to be put in check.
a lot of power tripping from the top down.
Wow...I wonder what kind of work environment you're used to. Langdon's behavior would not be allowed and probably get written up in every hospital or corporate environment I've been involved with. That's not allowed. He was pissed because he knew she had his number.

does a hit button divided issue have to happen in every episode lol
And all of this is happening within the span of a few hours.
I have to keep reminding myself of this.
This is what an ER looks like in a major city. They get all those issues all the time. My daughter (no pics) works at Vandy and is constantly getting druggie and alcoholic patients. She's had multiple patients who were criminals, GSWs, in custody, etc. She's has crazy families fighting, homeless, craziest kinds of accidents, etc. What y'all are calling wokeness is just what things look like in a major city ER. Remember that ALL types of people end up there and people on the street are much more likely to end up there along with the criminal element of society.
Also, she's only been out of school for 6 months and is a PT, so she's only seen a small fraction of the stuff that actually happens.

You’re not kidding. Vandy’s ER has a metal detector and a cop sitting right inside the front door.

Have a family member who did part of their residency at the ER in Grady Memorial in Atlanta. They said this is as close as any tv show has gotten to the non stop chaos that that kind of environment provides, from the people trying to just get seen to the homeless to the crazies to the bad actors and perps/victims of violence. No patient wants to be there and it only gets worse as things escalate (especially at night).
That was their one and only tour into emergency medical. Also said that Ep 8 with the drowning victim was almost too real to stomach, it really is the one thing that almost halts all the madness; when a kid dies in the ER.

I knew I recognized her from somewhere.
She also hooked up with Charlie on Two and a Half men for a few episodes. Bossed him around, if I remember correctly.

I keep seeing that this show is very accurate.
I need to watch it.

One of the best shows out now that you aren’t watching.
I didn’t think it would be this good but consistently week to week it delivers. Can’t wait for Thursday nights for the new episode of it .

I avoid most medical shows because they tend to be very inaccurate and it gets annoying.
I’ll check this out.

Definitely fair
They have some good medical advisors though for this one and how they explain what’s going on medically in the show as the attendings and upper level resident are questioning the residents/students and it lets them explain to the audience .
It doesn’t babysit or hold the audiences hands. It’s physiology and pharmacology blasted at you 1,000 miles an hour . One of my favorite parts of the show .

Just be warned. If you’ve ever had a loved one in a life threatening situation in an ER, this show is going to bring back some strong emotions.

Solid episode again .
Wasn’t prepared to see the crowning and birth.
Reddit has been all over it that there would be an active shooter at the music festival Robby’s kid was at . It was pretty obvious
Next weeks episode will push everyone to their limits. I can’t wait.

I’m not ashamed to say that I almost broke down when that newborn took its first breath.

That look of beyond elation by Dr King when she got to hold him was so pure.

That was a tough one to watch with the wife.
My son was a section but I overheard them give him an APGAR of somewhere between 0-2 for almost a minute before he burst to life.

When the kid video called from the festival and them mentioning it was the 11th hour of the shift, with four episodes remaining, I figured a mass shooting at the music festival was coming. After the first 11 episodes already pushing some to their limits, I can’t imagine what’s going to happen. This show has been one of the biggest surprises as far as TV in a long time for me.
