In real life, I’d be shocked if police went after an ankle monitor violation that quickly

And were they just completely oblivious that the town just had a mass shooting event? They go straight to cuffs???

Fun fact about episode 14

Dr. McKay's dad in the episode is actually her real father. Brad Dourif and daughter Fiona.

“Douchebag name for a douchebag guy” is now an even better line knowing that Chucky said it

The fact that she has to wear one at all has me thinking that Douchebag Guy somehow has some pull, and may have dropped a dime on her.

I will give this show credit (something I rarely do) for not being egregious with these topics. They had to get the AR15 in the story as well as the antivax angle, but they didn't beat us over the head with it.
Actually, I thought Robbie's outburst with the mom to be about as believable as could be. Genuine frustration without the sanctimonious lecture or dialogue.

ETA I don't mean I don't give this show credit. It's extremely well done and executed. I just don't give most shows credit because they go overboard with a lot of the things this show seems to handle in such a balanced way.

Definitely. Can't say I wouldn't have had the same reaction.

That was Brad Dourif??

I knew he’s her dad but did not recognize him at all in the episode

ETA: went back to look and it should have been obvious. Wasn’t paying close enough attention I guess

I quasi recognized him... but actually mistook him for shawshank dude, so I looked it up, then found his relation to McKay actress. Wow, huh?!

S2 confirmed to take place on 4th of July weekend

So we are get some gnarly amputations due to fireworks mishandling and gunshots

I was hoping it would’ve been at Christmas with the snow but I’m happy we are getting a quick turnaround between seasons

Two more ‘here we go’ moments that ended up being very well done. I really felt for Dr. Rabi sitting in the morgue- I was glad they showed it instead of just back to business as usual, though.

This is the best show on TV right now. I’m glad it’s gaining some traction and has been renewed for another season. Should be another good one.

Have they said when it’s going to be released? I’ve only heard it’s currently in production.

Wonder if it’ll be set in same calendar year or if it may be a jump ahead in time with the newbies a little older and some fresh faces coming in behind them

I’m wondering that as well. I don’t want much major player turnover . So I’m curious how they’ll navigate them moving on or to other rotations vs bringing in a new crop

This show covered just about every sort of "hot topic" in one season.

The masks
mass shooting (AR-15)
Anti-vaxers (Measles)
racism
o/d
medical personnel abuse
school kid with a hit list
gay couple getting a baby
Abortion

They didn't identify the shooter yet. But, we do get 1 more episode wo, hopefully we get an answer to that. I'm guessing the guy who punched the nurse? Or is it just some random person we haven't seen? Or maybe a lesser shown ER patient that they didn't spend a lot of time on?

The cops strong-arming the doctor in the middle of a mass casualty event seemed dumb. But, maybe that is a shot at police abuse?

Dr King is going to be one of the breakout stars from this show.

It helps somewhat that they're basically filming the entire show in one location.

They mentioned it in the last episode. Basically a random that killed themselves after. Pretty much confirmed it wasn't anyone we've seen in the ER
