I prefer this. I was going to be done with the show if it was the boy from earlier episodes. The show is supposed to somewhat reflect reality. The odds of it being that kid would have been ridiculous. The killer almost never survives so im glad they went that direction.

it would have been fun to see the inner turmoil as the staff deals with having to save the shooter's life after the hell he/she put everyone through.

It is why this show is so much better than ER was back in the day. ER would have 100% made the boy the shooter.

So far The Pitt has far, far more diversity in casting than comparatively white Pittsburgh does (at least how I remember it from living there). That part feels unnecessarily forced
The ER does not tend to look like the rest of the city in terms of diversity. When I went to the ER last year, I think I might have been the only white person in there.
Have really enjoyed the show so far. Not quite caught up, but thru 12 episodes I’m captivated.

Solid finale
This show really was so good for the entire season.some great and interesting characters that I feel like I know after only one shift
My breakout star is Dr King. She is just an angel through and through. Her scene with her sister was so pure .
Hate it’s over
Can’t wait for season 2

This show took me by surprise. I generally hate medical shows, but this is the best show I've seen in a while. Noah Wyle is gonna clean up at the awards shows.

Also, just happened to refresh my podcast feed and Noah wyle is a guest on The watch podcast for those interested and while I like Chris Ryan, Andy greenwald is so smarmy and he has horrid takes and is impossible to please, they too have loved the Pitt all season
Will def listen to this show tomorrow

we never find out who or why?
The show is about the staff. Who and why it happened doesn't matter.
This show was about as big of a pleasant surprise as I've seen on TV recently. Great stuff all around, and I thought the finale put the pin in the shift pretty well.
Props to Max for making something other than an 8 episode show with 2.5 year intra-season breaks. If they come back with another 15 in January like they say, it will be impressive. Wyle is going to clean up some awards for this, and Bryan Cranston's daughter was great throughout.

I concur.
You'll like this read from People. Dr King
They're already talking about a spinoff.
My least favorite is Santos. Don't care for busy bodies. And I just dont understand why they made Jake so unlikeable. My dad wouldn't have cared who died, he would've slapped the shite out of me. Ik Dr Rob is not his dad.
Great ending. Hate it's over

Oh wow.. yeah if they gave her like a “heart of Dixie” type show or something like that where she’s finished residency and opens her own practice and impacts the town.. I would 100% watch

Dr Abbott is a badass.
Was trying to figure out where I knew the actor from. Had to go way back to The Faculty.

Yeah, he's a good character actor. He's also currently the chief on Chicago PD.

Solid finale
Nice to see how they all decompress differently after a traumatic day.

More recently he was in Animal Kingdom if you watched that show. He was pretty bad arse in that as well.
I do love this show and overall its not Hollywood preachy but I cringed when McKay gave her final pitch to the boy that made the list and said all women walk around half their time in fear of being attacked. I'm paraphrasing but that was the gist. I looked over at my wife and she simply nodded her head and said no. Why do they feel the need to spread a false narrative like this in a great show when there is no need at all. I know the list is bad and the boy needs help. Hell he lost his dad, who wouldnt?!?! Just wasn't necessary.
OK rant off.
That said, cant wait for season 2.

I rolled my eyes so hard at that . Every guy isn’t going around raping every woman he sees. That was straight fear porn and histrionics from her
