A Jack Black, Christopher Lloyd, and a Lizzo cameo in one episode??

This was a strange episode in the middle of the season. They better finish strong with these last two episodes.

this season was nothing more than a setup for the future and the other shows that are coming behind it
Will be interesting to see what they tease in finale - Moff meeting with someone? Than we will have to wait awhile for the next show

All the speculation is for Thrawn to appear. He is known for pitting his enemies against each other. So setting up the Mandalorians against the New Republic is what he would do.

Also with him expected to the main villain in Ashoka which is the next new show on the horizon it would make sense for him to appear in the final to lead into her show.

I didn't care at all for any of the acting by the 3 celebrity cameos. Comparing this episode's guest comedians, Jack Black & Christopher Lloyd, to past guest comedian Bill Burr's S2 performance, makes this episode's acting effort, quite frankly, laughable. And Lizzo was simply out of league.

I did highly enjoy the graphics though. Lots of varied ships, droids, locations/ sets, aliens, in total.

Another thought about this strange season, which has been told in chronological order that requires seeing each of the previous S3 episodes: this was the first episodic/side-mission that could almost stand-alone, like most of the S1 & S2 episodes were presented, with just a nod to the over-arching storyline. I'm not sure what this season wants to be. Mando & Grogu's show? Bo Katan's show? Chronologic? Episodic?

Yeah, she stood out in a bad way. The Droid investigation and bar were good

I’ve said it here before that I’m afraid that the main purpose of Mando and Bad Batch is just to provide background/foundation for Rise of Skywalker and the ridiculous return of Palpatine plot. I want to think Filoni and Favreau wouldn’t make a show just for that, but you never what Kathleen Kennedy and her people might make happen.

It completely takes you out it. Like one of those old prime time live performance specials.

Supporting actors should be someone who I’ve never seen before.

I’ve heard rumors Favreau was forced to put Mando and Grogu in Book of Boba Fett and he was PISSED and ready to quit all of it. Guess whose decision it was to bring Mando and Grogu back together in a show that’s not even theirs…

Don't forget a cameo from this great character from Curb

Is this the Bo Katan show now? Good to see that the rogue Mandalorian group checked off all the D&I boxes.

Yea I didn’t care for this episode either. Bryce Dallas Howard directed my two least favorite episodes of the entire series, this one and the fluorescent shrimp people episode. In both shows, I felt she tried to shoehorn in romance/love elements , just fell flat for me.

Each time I saw them I kept saying WTF

I can get over Jack Black and Lloyd, but Lizzo was just straight up bad.

Yep… just like I thought… the Bo Katan Power Hour.

It looks like this show is not going to go the way I want it to. That’s okay. Maybe people want Din and Grogu to be back seat in their own show out of plot service to Rebels. I just don’t understand it.

It’s a shame that they blew such an emotional season two of the Mandalorian, with a powerful finale… for this?

That girl above is Jennifer Kober. She’s from Lake Charles and went to Barbe. She’s a family friend

She also was in Gemstones as a CVS employee.

She has a huge resume but it’s always bit parts

Ok episode.

On an old time wrestling card (you still see it nowadays if Triple H has the book that week) this is what you call the down match. You cool the audience down, while hopefully entertaining them, before you bring out the big match with all the bells and whistles.

It was... there. I mean it was what it was. You can tell they didn't break the budget on this episode. I imagine that means they are going for a really big finish to the season in the last two episodes.

I enjoyed everything in this episode except when the three cameos were on screen. Didn't even mind the story with them, but their execution was poor. To cartoonish.
