“Friends” is one of the worst TV shows of all time. Meet me at the Sonic if you disagree

The Godfather Part III is not a bad movie. Clearly it’s not as great as the first two, but I liked the story.

I don’t care if the whole Rudy story was basically BS, that movie had the greatest sports movie ending of all time.
His dad's love for Notre Dame reminds me of my dad's love for LSU. He started going to LSU games from Vidalia with my mom's dad in the 50's. He got hooked. He has a magazine sized "book" on the 1959 Natty that has weekly pictures of each game's AP article throughout the schedule. They tell where the team was ranked each week, and other little peccadillos from each weeks performance. I imagine it's the equivalent of one of today's Natty season coffee table books with that kind of stuff.

He had season tickets through 2006. I loved going to games with him. I've watched nearly every game on TV with him since I moved back to Louisiana in 2011.

I don't care that Remember the Titans isn't factual. It felt pretty close to how things were when public schools were integrated.

I played high school ball in the 70's and went through public schools being integrated. We had lots of little racially motivated fights. We also one big one that warranted the police being called, after a guy got thrown though a plate glass window in the principal's office. Even though it was that bad, The administration tried to play it down. They had white and black guys come on the intercom the next day saying it wasn't racially motivated. They said it was football players vs. basketball players.

We had problems getting through practice some days. We had an incident where a non-athlete black student hit our head coach across the back with a 2X4 when he was told to leave. Another time, a dad drove onto the practice field, got out and challenged the coach to fight. His son had told him a white coach slapped him the day before at practice. If it happened it was while the kid was wearing his helmet. I've seen a coach take a kid to the ground by his face mask, but that was OK because both the kid and the coach were black, and the coach did it breaking up a fight between brothers.

We didn't have formals, or any dances back then because parents would have freaked out about white girls dancing with black guys. We voted on white and black class favorites and had two homecoming queens. The mood of that movie is pretty spot on for the time, regardless of what actually happened when Boone was coaching there.

Some of it is really funny, but I've never gotten why it's considered the greatest. Kramer carried the show for me. Most of the Jerry, George and Elaine stuff was not that funny.

I've never liked Woody Allen movies either. Maybe I just don't like New York humor.

Signs is not an “alien movie,” it’s a movie about faith. And it’s actually pretty fricking genius and vastly underrated.

Not with that final act it’s not.

I’ll die on the hill of thoroughly enjoying Star Trek and Star Trek Beyond and them being pretty good films. I don’t give a shite if they’re retreads, they’re still entertaining and far better than JJ’s stupid SW abortion.

I came away wondering how on earth this was getting acclaim outside of the graphics.

Hurt Locker was ok, not amazing but I’ll forever be grateful for Bigelow keeping that mediocre movie from winning best picture.

I think Jack Nicholson is a better movie star than he is actor. And the most accurate thing I've read about Meryl Streep's acting is that she's like paint by numbers, it's accurate and it's the right color but there's nothing behind it

Jerry McGuire is a chick flick masquerading as a sports film.

Forget Paris is a great sports film cleverly disguised as a chick flick.
