This is the dumbest fricking shite I’ve ever read. Wyatt Earp is an American legend. As is Doc Holiday.
That's great. I don't disagree with that.
Tombstone is still not a Western movie.

Maybe, but it’s great.
3 memorable lines from that movie right off the top of my head.

I’m convinced at this point that Woody could plagiarize Mein Kampf and it would still get nominated for Best Original Screenplay
Ironically, this sounds like a line from Manhattan.
Idk if I really like Woody Allen or I just like the idea of 70s NYC.

The Wire sucks arse.

The hill I stand on and will die on alone; No Country for Old Men is a horrible movie. It’s like a bad slasher movie where every character makes stupid decisions and the antagonist gimp is more mystical unstoppable slasher than an assassin with his scary air tank pig killing bolt thing. I’ve read all the pretentious crap on here about allegory and symbolism, but that still doesn’t make it anything but a bad slasher movie where the protagonist et al hide behind the chainsaws instead of getting in the running car.

’m sorry. But you’re selling the relationship short and are probably not playing with a full deck.
Penny Marshall wasn't playing with a full deck. Have you watched the film? Dropping it on purpose is just made up. Nothing about the actions preceding the drop lead to this conclusion.
So lazy filmmaking if Penny and you believe this.
Because no where does she set it up for Dottie to drop the ball on purpose.
Fools gold. If you want to believe in last second fairy tales contrary to what happened 10 seconds before. If she loved her sister so much, why'd she tell the pitcher how to strike her out in a vengeful way.
And that look she gives Kit isn't benevolence but pride. That she got bested. Dottie didn't even want Kit in the league, she was kinda a count. Yes she loved her sister in the end but only because she measured up. She wasn't throwing a game with her competitive spirit and respect.
That she drops the ball on purpose actually makes her an a-hole to her team and disrespects everyone involved. It makes her a villain.
Why can't we just say Kit bested her? Dropping the ball on purpose cheapens the relationship and the entire film.

Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May was the best car show series ever.
They have possibly the most perfect chemistry of any set of TV show presenters working on the same show.

Die Hard is not a Christmas movie, it is a movie that is set during Christmas. Two different things.
I don't think that's the theme of the thread considering most poeple recognize and understand this. The minority of people who say otherwise just do it becuase they think it's cool and they want to join the cool club. Same as "nickelback is literally the worst band eveeeeerrrrrrrr!!!!!" or "skylar white is literally the worst tv wife eeeevvvveeerrrrrr!!!!!". At this point it's just because a meme that is so often said that people don't even realize what they're sayign anymore.
Die Hard is OBVIOUSLY not a christmas movie, anyone saying otherwise is just looking for edge or acceptance.

Wild Wild West is a great movie
Yes it’s cheesy and silly but that’s the whole damn point!!!
The movie is basically the toned down version of Django Unchained

It does, and they have always refused to acknowledge that. Dropping it on purpose literally makes no sense based on the setup of the entire movie.
And Dottie's journey/character development is that she was finally bested by her little sister, and she isn't mad about it...she's proud of her, like you said. Her journey is that she doesn't have to be the best anymore, and she is okay letting someone else have that glory, even if it's her little sister, whom she has always thrived on being better than.
Choosing the ""on purpose" side is choosing to ignore the entire movie literally right up until they collide. Because even when Kit rounded third, Dottie had the look of a little bit of fear in her eyes for the first time in her life (when competing with Kit). Even the setup during the play leads to her not dropping it on purpose.

Are you ever gonna give your reasons as to why, or are you just gonna keep saying this with no real cause?
Even the "Characteristics" section of "western films" on Wikipedia describe Tombstone almost to a tee.

I disagree. I'm in the "It's a Christmas movie" camp, but mainly just because I think that's what it is. I get the arguments on both sides though, but Christmas is very much a theme of the movie, not just the setting. And while I agree that Die Hard is maybe a "fringe" Christmas movie, it still is one nonetheless. And honestly I've never seen a really convincing argument as to why it shouldn't be. Because most of the reasons I've seen could be applied to almost every Christmas movie ever made which would make them not Christmas movies either.

Frozen is a pile of postmodernism bullshite and deserves none of the accolades it received.
Its probably the worst Disney movie released in theaters, however the marketing campaign is second to none.
Story makes no sense, the characters are awful, the songs aren't that good, however the singers are great.

I think the only Disney animated films that have "wowwed" me since their resurgence decades of the 80's/90's are The Incredibles and Meet the Robinsons. I remember parts of Up and Inside Out, but the rest (in my mind) were just viewed and dismissed.

Moana is best Disney animated film in probably the last 30 years. great story, great characters, great songs, jokes for the parents, etc it hits all the marks.
Note: even though pixar is now owned by disney, I don't count pixar movies in my "best disney movie of last 30 years".

Tombstone is an action film that takes place in the old west.
Most westerns are action films.
Mine would be: Adam Sandler has hit waaay more than he's missed.
