It took me through like 17 different emotions. Hats off to the entire cast/crew.

To those of us who haven't seen a single episode, what's the show about?

A guy who was a top chef in New York moves back to Chicago to take over a restaurant his older brother ran before he committed suicide.

It’s great. Acting is top notch, well-written, lots of really good guest stars, the soundtrack is fantastic (lots of Wilco, REM, Pearl Jam). There are a couple of episodes that are as good as anything that’s been on TV.

The show is about the best thing on TV the last 2 years. The Bear and Severance are my two relatively recent favorites.

The other 100s of minutes were not worth it.

Forks was the best episode of TV produced in a while.

Anxiety. All of the anxiety. Even if you don't have anxiety this show will give it to you.

Yep, if you don't need a drink and a cigarette after watching, you weren't paying attention.

I agree with this. But the Christmas dinner episode was brutal. I don't know if I was more emotional during that one or the finale.

This right here.

We just started watching and finished the first season over the weekend. The last few minutes or so of the next to last episode in season 1 was just brutal. The online ordering system....

Whereas Shameless was always a little too chaotic, grimy and gross for me to enjoy, this falls just on the other side. It's gritty and exhausting sometimes but still enjoyable.

The episode where they have dinner at his mothers was driving me crazy. I actually sat up in bed to yell at the TV

Whoever is over the Janitorial staff where I work is apparently a big fan of The Bear. In the last 8 months they all started yelling “Corner” when pushing their carts around.

Really enjoyed Mulaney’s character in that episode.

"Heard" has trended among my staff on walkie communications. I asked the staffer who started it if she's a fan of the show... and she said she'd never hard of it.

Then I felt weird.

That Christmas dinner episode was so good I made my family sit down and watch it before Christmas just so they could get anxiety about the upcoming trip to the in-laws.

Best show I’ve seen in a while.
