At times the anxiety level watching that show approaches the level of watching LSU football games.

At one point Claire Bear is talking to Carmy and his fear of the other shoe dropping. Obviously, you see that’s a learned behavior based on his experience with his mother and to a lessor extent brother.

I enjoyed the show season one, but was disappointed they were closing The Beef at the end of the season and didn’t really care about the fancy “The Bear” restaurant. Uh, yeah, boy was I wrong.

When you look at the fact that such strong actors as Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk and Sarah Paulson were brought in as 1+ episode guest starts - you see this show is shooting for the moon. And even when they miss, they’ll still among the starts.

One other huge thing they resonates with me is the ability to identify characters with “people I know” in real life. Richie, Sy and Sugar are all so real. That’s not to say that other characters aren’t great, but these three really seal the deal.

I didn't realize that was who that was until the credits. I had no idea.

Yelling corner has been a restaurant thing long before the show though

Season 1 was good. Not award winning.

It won many awards actually.
