You can always tell when John feels some heat and he is close to going to elimination (his ultimate nightmare) because he starts to get extremely defnsive and hostile just like he did with Devin.
John's entire game is based around never going into elimination and therefore always getting to a final where he is an odds on favorite to win.
Devin presents a somewhat of a problem to him because he's basically mini/non-roid Wes. John knows he can convince a couple idiots to vote with him and screw up his game.
BUT the thing is, John has become such a force in the game everyone wants to ride him to the finish line and not ruffle his feathers. Of course the problem is, John really only has 2 or 3 go-to alliance people and even when it means him or them, he'll always screw them over.
That's why the Sarah move from a couple years ago pissed him off so bad, because he finally had somebody do to him what he has done to others for years.
I don't know if they ever could swing it, but the ultimate to screw him over would be him having to make a choice between either himself, Leroy, or Natalie... Then shite would get real, because he would always pick himself.
Sadly, I think Devin's game is coming to an end. If only he had just a little physical presence and the he could really frick stuff up.
And it looks like next week, Devin says Kayleigh and John are hooking up to Nelson, and that's why she voted the way she did.

Who were the other mercenaries? I assume Tori, Anneesa, Derrick, and Jordan are done. We will definitely be seeing Frank, Laurel, and the other two soon. I just forgot who they were.
Next season is "The Final Reckoning" whatever that means. Sounds like Nicole, Kailah, and Darrell are on it since they have soundbites.
This season's pacing is so slow. 12 people through 9 episodes

Could that be the last season of the show?

That would be shocking as ratings are up and they are just running season after season at unprecedented rates plus the new Champs vs Stars spinoffs which is entering its third season.
I always figured the show would die without Real World, but they have made great casting decisions with the Big Brother people and the British people coming on. I have to imagine that Florabama Shore, this new winter show, and AYTO will be providing plenty more people for these challenges.

I know both The Challenge and Real World were close to cancellation a few years ago. MTV's ratings aren't good overall. Maybe they've improved in the past few years.

I know that Bananas and Kayleigh was/is a thing but did it actually happen on the show or after?
Also, picking Kayleigh over Natalie is dumber than Nicole attempting a puzzle.

I think CT and Ashley are the two others.

Sounds like MTV is marketing it as the final part of a trilogy. Dirty 30, Vendettas and this one.

Gotcha. Well, whoever goes up against Ashley M is definitely getting a much easier opponent.
Frank is annoying as hell, but he is really good at the challenges. I can easily see 3/4 people being sent home (Laurel's opponent is a lock no matter who it is).
The girls' side is so weak this season. With 8 females left, we still haven't seen a good female get eliminated (Melissa is as close as it gets, lol), and we still have 3 lay-ups.

Last time we saw Laurel on The Challenge she was embarrassed by Camila in an elimination.

I hope Nicole goes into elimination against Laurel

Natalie's game is so funny to watch. If you make friends with everyone, you're going to lose.

Devin isn’t near as good and smart as he thinks he is.
Next week, during his exit interview after being eliminated, he’ll be saying “I’ve got bananas right where I want him”

Devin isn’t good at anything other ghan showing up year after year and being sent home. Just because you don’t like Bananas doesn’t mean you can beat him.

Most here seem to like Devin, but I can’t stand him. At least when Jordan was being arrogant AF and calling out bananas he was actually a formidable competitor. Devin just talks a bunch of shite and seems to think he’s worth something because he’s the only outspoken anti-bananas player.
And for everyone saying that the rest of the house should nut up and vote bananas in, that still requires people to actually say his name. If you vote him in, he’ll be the favorite to come back in nearly every elimination, and then you have to deal with the fallout.

He probably does actually. Setting him self up for that next season of Rivals.
That’s if Corey doesn’t team with him (I guess he could get Darrell). Unless of course Sara makes her return.

Devin looks legit in interviews, but then falls flat often in regular house interaction and challenges. But at least he says some real shite from time to time

Eh, I like Devin. He's one of the few legitimately smart people that appear on The Challenge. He basically won AYTO season 3 by himself by figuring out the probability.

I thought it was Darrell in the previews walking out with Frank and Laurel?

Agreed. He knows that bananas is not an elimination type competitor, so his odds are not as lopsided if it was in a finals. Then, with the added risk of mercenaries coming into play, you possibly end up throwing him in vs a heavy hitter that's not on the show currently like jordan, Derrick, etc.
