Honest if Marvel feels the need to start over with a young tony stark I could see Butler filling that role

It is either going to be very good or very cheesy and currently the coin is spinning in the air.

That trailer clicked off a lot of biker cliches in the time it ran.

To me, it looks like shite, although I do like Hardy in most of his roles.

He played a pretty subdued part in "The Drop" that turned out to be James Gandolfini's last film role before dying in Italy while on vacation.

It straddles the line between very good and hollow flash with not enough substance. Before it was pushed to 24’, there were some screenings in town.

It’s the bike gang version of Iron Claw to me. Good, but not great.

Did Disney drop it because it was received poorly?

I think the studio was worried their stars weren’t able to tour to promote it because of the strike. They had awards hopes, but i don’t see it.

Some great moments like any Jeff Nichols film .. but not enough IMO.
Bikes are cool I guess.

Dewey fricking Crowe.

Also why does Tom Hardy talk like that?

I've found Hardy to be kind of hard to understand in some of his roles.

When he played both Kray brothers, Reggie and Ronnie in "Legend" his British accent was so heavy that it was hard to grasp the lines-----especially when doing the Ronnie part with him being a total nut case.

In the movie "The Drop" he played a New Yorker who came off as kind of slow on the uptake, although pretty diabolical and decisive in his actions when it warranted it.

Also, in that movie, all of the 3 main characters were foreign with Hardy being from England, Noomi Rapace being Swedish and Mathais Shoenearts being Belgian----all playing New Yorkers.

I can understand this sentiment based purely off the two trailers released, BUT it’s a Jeff Nichols’ film, and every single one he’s made has been really good to excellent. These trailers make it look like a bland by-the-numbers type movie, where his previous films are all substantive sort of arthouse/arthouse adjacent type movies.

I’m hoping these trailers are just an attempt to go after the movie going public at large, and what we’ll get is something a bit more nuanced.

And of course it's got Michael Shannon in it.
Looks right up my alley.

Nah, Tony is alot more bombastic than Butlers sweet spot but he’s definitely talented enough to carry something big like the MCU just maybe through a different character.

my thoughts exactly, looks pretty cheesy from the trailers alone.. I don't know anything else about the film or the makers, but it doesn't look very good. I'm hoping Hardy, Shannon & Butler signed on for a better film than what they trailer looks to be. I'll watch, eventually, but not going to theaters for it.
