At least they are still making movies for adults.

Reminds me of Christian Slater with his silly Jack Nicholson voice

Austin Butler

the crowning of this guy seems very fake. He put a bald cap on and was a generic bad guy in Dune 2

He was incredibly corny in masters of air

Was good. Not great but good.

Just got out, no spoilers in my comments below.

I would go a step higher with very good, but not great. I doubt it gets many people out to the theaters, but it would be worth the time to see it on a $5 Tuesday.

Solid cast with some ridiculous accents that took some getting used to, and I live in the Midwest. I really want to know Hardy’s process to come up with the voices for his roles. It’s been months since I watched the trailer, so I was not prepared when he first spoke. It was not the voice I was expecting.

Even with the voice, I thought Hardy did a fine job and I didn’t feel like I was watching Butler play Elvis again. That said, my favorite characters were Shannon and Reedus. I would have liked for them to get some more screen time, but both were excellent in their limited roles.

Also, the trailer for Egger’s Nosferatu premiered before the movie and it looks amazing. Now my most anticipated for the rest of the year.

Nichols doesn't make bad movies really.
Her accent is the most annoying part of the movie to me.

Apparently I've never seen a Mike Nichols movie, based on what I just looked up on IMDB.

Saw this last night. Pretty good but not great. Worth a movie theater watch if you need something to do. Liked the female lead a lot.

The Bikeriders is Jeff Nichols. Indie director.

Mike Nichols made classic films like The Graduate, The Birdcage, and Who's Afraid of Virginia wolf, among many others.

No relation between the two, I do not think.

Just to add, he directed Mud and Take Shelter.

Take Shelter is my favorite Michael Shannon movie.

Jeff Nichols brother is Ben Nichols lead singer of the band Lucero. Jeff directed this video and if Netflix turned it into a series I would've watched the whole thing.

Just got out of it. Really liked it, it wants to be GoodFellas and isn't but nothing is. I felt like I needed 20-30 more minutes of movie that got cut.

On The Big Picture this week, Jeff said it was Ben who gave him The Bikeriders photo book years ago.

Was there any Lucero music featured in the film. I don't remember Jeff using any of his brother's music since Shotgun Stories, besides an original Ben song for Loving. I could just be forgetting some, though.

Ben is credited solo on some stuff. Google says the Lucero song Bikeriders (recorded in 2005 but about Benny and Kathy) played.

I feel bad for criticizing Comer’s accent because she sounds just like the original woman.

Saw this yesterday and enjoyed it. Like others thought, wasn’t a fan of Hardy’s performance. I think everyone’s getting burned out on his “badass” roles. Would like to see him do more stuff like Locke and Inception. Butler was solid as always, don’t really get the hate for him. He’s been great in everything he’s been in. Norman Reedus stole the show once he showed up. Probably won’t make my top movies of the year list, but was worth the price of admission
