the soccer seems even less important if we’re being honest.

Every episode seems to be ending with a hint it’s going to get back into the soccer season but then the next episode starts and it’s back to the same political/social stuff.

yea that storyline with the prime minister was tired and annoying.

I think that was the Home Secretary.

On the episode - I liked it. The show has definitely gone down in Season 3, but I'm still finding it entertaining.

The immigration thing was forced and handled in a shallow manner, but at least it was used to progress the team bonding when they all went to help fix the restaurant.

The same can be said for Keeley's relationship. They didn't make a big deal about it being a same sex relationship. The "love bombing" thing could have as easily applied to a heterosexual relationship. Of course, it would be fair to say that delving into any Keeley relationships outside of the team is a waste of screen time.

That was the whole point. Roy mentioning his straight ex has a GF but only in a “she’s dating someone” way and not in a “why is she gay now” way. Nothing to see here. Who would even notice? A bigot?!

I have to FF through Sam, Keely and the Big Boss scenes. They seem forced and boring. Thank gawd for Roy and Beard. Nate's angle in interesting. I was hoping he would make a good villain but he's hard to dislike. Great character development with Jamie.

I thought it said crossing the channel. So from France? where they’ve already established amnesty and taken over.

Is Nate’s hair getting darker? I know as he became villain it grayed quickly each episode.

Seemed to be some dark streaks re-appearing. My wife said I was wrong.

This whole episode felt like Major League.

In fairness, that's the entire basic premise to the show.

I never saw Nate as the villain per se.

Is Sam going to tweet out a “You’re next” with a Brit officer’s photo next episode?

The next episode in entitled "Strings That Bind Us", so I am guessing, there will be some discussion of the Home Shore.

Reading back through. The misdirection really made me laugh out loud. The title might mean some meaningful metaphor for connections to home. Nah, it's about tying dicks together.

Roy had all of the best comedy moments…when he was dropping Ted-isms and said “I hate what you’ve fricking done to me” and the “arse-squatch” lines had me rolling.
That and when Ted said they were using the new style that Saturday he said “that’s fricking mental”.

I did love Sam’s dad. Showed why he is the way he is.

Unfortunately there are story lines I just FF through. Keely’s story is so uninteresting.

I'm so-so on this season. It's had a few feel good moments and a few funny ones as well. I could give two shits about Keely and the gay kid's story line, it add NOTHING to the story. The show is called Ted Lasso but it seems he gets less and less screen time.

I just don’t understand how the show writing has gotten so stale.
Most episodes are now just uninteresting fodder with an occasional “lol” moment and a splash of social justice nonsense.

A show that is ultimately about kindness. You don't deserve it. You don't understand it.

ETA: It's never too late.

Very kind of you to say.

It ceased being “a show about kindness” that when every single political situation paints conservatives one sided and in the moral wrong.

Did they try to show one of the English players sending money to their dad who lost his job in the plant to an immigrant taking lower wages? No.

Have they had a woman get pregnant around Rebecca and choose to get an abortion and show how much that hurts someone who can’t get pregnant emotionally? No.

They just shove lgbt issues and “refuges” in and show people being opposed to those as angry intolerant bigots.

When it happens over and over and over again people will start to complain.

It’s set up to preach the liberal gospel.

It is what it is. Most shows are. But it doesn’t get to use the “kindness” moniker anymore when it’s telling half the country you are bad people

That’s about the only thing left that the show has going for it, because it certainly isn’t very funny.

I’ll go ahead and say it, but I don’t find fan favorites Beard or Roy to be funny. I’m ready for the downvotes.
