At the end of The Cincinnati Kid (1961) Steve McQueen's character can't even beat the little kid cutting cards.

We all win because we get to see both Ann Margeret:

and Tuesday Weld:

How about the Hustler.

Fest Eddie beat Fatts, but in the process lost everything for about 25 yrs.

That's right. he beats Minnesota Fats, and takes all of his money, but George C. Scott's character, his money man/manager, bans him from all of the "Big time" pool halls because he won't give him his percentage of the money. It was because Fast Eddie held him responsible for the Piper Laurie character's death.

The scene where Scott's character bans him on YouTube

This scene is a reminder of Newman not being the greatest dramatic actor. But his characters usually had a coolness about them, the same way Steve McQueen's did. Even at the age of 67, in Nobody's Fool (!994), Melanie Griffith's character showed him her tits.

Classic TD argument time

Dottie is the antagonist bitch who drops the ball on purpose for our protagonist that wins Kit.

How about Color of Money? - Both the Cruise and Newman characters "lose", even if it is on purpose
