That was such an awesome show. You could really tell they rushed to shoehorn the ending in the last few episodes.

Black Sails - I wish they would have dug further into Treasure Island. Tobey Stephens as Flint is such a good character.

Hannibal. We deserved more than 3 seasons.

There is still hope it returns. After Netflix picked up all 3 seasons months ago, there were talks that Netflix could bring it back. Here's something from a few days ago.

quote:

Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Mikkelsen dropped the exciting news that not only have talks about Hannibal's future been "revitalised", but that the whole cast would be up for returning to film more episodes.

"[Since the series] has found a new home on Netflix, the talks have been revitalised," he confirmed. "I don't think you'd find anyone that is part of the cast that is still alive that would say, 'No, thanks.'

Buffalo Bill with Dabney Coleman...hilarious and there's NO WAY the PC crowd would tolerate the show today. They barely tolerated it in the 80's

Get a Life with Chris Elliott gets honorable mention.

ETA:

The series received 11 Emmy Award nominations (including two for Outstanding Comedy Series). Joanna Cassidy also won a Golden Globe Award in 1984. In 1999, TV Guide ranked Bill Bittinger number 42 on its 50 Greatest TV Characters of All Time list.[4] Former NBC President Brandon Tartikoff wrote in his memoirs that his biggest professional regret was canceling the show.[5]

Jericho.

It was a great show before the whole post apocalyptic vibe became mainstream. It deserved better than the knee jerk cancellation as well as the absurd hyper advancing of storyline away from just a town trying to figure out what’s going on and how to survive to something better suited for a Tom Clancy novel in just six episodes.

And I just did some looking/strolling down memory lane.

Apparently the writers were up for it.

The actors were up for it.

Netflix was up to fund it.

CBS refuses to sell.

frick then.

Crashing, that Pete Holmes series on HBO. Maybe it’s for the best that they didn’t renew for another season and potentially ruin a good thing but I sure enjoyed it. Lots of unresolved storylines.

Not a network show but BOSS should have never been cancelled and once it was, it should have been picked up.

Show is one of the best ever and only had 2 seasons.

Colony

I wrote Netflix begging them to pick it up. Nada.

I thought Colony was good programming and had a good bit of story remaining...at least 2 seasons worth just from what we had already seen.

I was also surprised that a streamer didn't pick it up.

I thought the Good Guys on Fox was freaking hilarious. Wish it had gone for another season

That was an actual funny show with good characters on network TV. It never stood a chance.

Was just about to post this. I can’t believe Netflix or Amazon didn’t snatch that one up immediately.

The Grinder and Grandfathered both got capped after on season. All I ever heard were great things from people about both.

Grinder, especially, made no sense to be cancelled.

Tru Calling on Fox in 03-04.

Really good premise, and Eliza Dushku is a fricking smokeshow!
