Wife and I went yesterday. The first theater we tried to get tickets at were sold out and the one we did go to was 95% full at the time we went. All these people making up bullshite about conspiracy theories and this bowl jackson asshat in thread are just idiots. There was nothing political in this movie its about child trafficking plain and simple and the pedos and sickos are out there. Movie wasn't great but damn its sickens me that MSM and Hollywood are trying to blackball this movie.

It’s not even like they tried to make it seem like politicians were fighting against the child rescuer in this movie. The only push back he had from authorities was timeline, budget, and going beyond his authority outside of the country. Even then, his bosses in the U.S. government kept finding ways to help him and coordinate with foreign governments to ensure his mission’s success.
The only thing political about this movie is Hollywood’s efforts to badmouth it and keep it from being seen by the public.

It’s pretty telling and not a good look.

It's very disturbing how much the mainstream media has gone out of their way to campaign against this movie.

What have these efforts looked like?

They’re astroturfing the hell out of this movie. They’re “selling out” showings, but very few people are actually in those seats watching the movie
Yeah, I was staying out of the fight with this movie because it looks like a decent, but forgettable film, but the stuff I’ve heard about it and the guy who made it and the people who funded it are a big time yikes. Now I’m really staying away from it. Faking box office numbers is so fricking weird.

and the only negative stuff I’ve heard about it came from the Hollywood cultural elitists that it shines the light on.
In what way does this movie shine a light on Hollywood cultural elitists?
It's about children trafficked in south America.

This boards obsession with this movie is weird.
Also the obsession with saying “its sold out still” and the “lines are really long”
And lol at it being the most talked about movie of the year
Why are yall trying soo hard here?

The fact that a movie about Barbie and sex trafficking has become a liberal vs conservative battleground tells you about where we are as a society
The idiot in this thread that bought a ticket to movie he didn’t attend just to show support is just beyond weird

Sound of freedom is becoming the equivalent of Kony 2012.
People thinking they're doing something to stop global atrocities or bringing awareness just by watching a movie.

No one is stopping it but exposing the pedo and trafficking in a major movie brings awareness. Unlike all the wokeness such as transgender and gay stuff we see in alot of movies and streaming apps like hulu, amazon, Netflix why aren't major players in Hollywood getting involved in child trafficking? Seems like every week there are sickos and pedo's getting busted for child porn or trying to meet underage kids. Wake up we have people trying to teach 5 year olds about sex and parents cutting their kids dicks off.

Isn't it what the movie is doing? Spreading awareness about crimes against children?
Most of the general public is very unaware that criminal activities are going on all over the world.

Crazy, sick shite happens in third world shitholes. I don't think this is a shock to anyone.
Bringing awareness to the average American doesn't accomplish anything.
Anyone that cares enough to actually donate their time or money is already well aware.

“Sound of Freedom” is killing it for its budget, and it’s also a good movie.
Yea, if you think Facing the Giants and Fireproof are cinematic accomplishments

Yep. And it seems like they are always one of the following: church lay leader, church clergy, cops.
Odd.
