So there was a new Avengers: Endgame clip shown at the annual Disney shareholders meeting.

Looks like the key to defeating Thanos this time around really will come down to Captain Marvel.
Captain Marvel - "Let's go kill Thanos".
Banner asks what guarantee they have that it will end differently.
Captain Marvel - "You have me this time".

I can't imagine people being excited about that turn of events if it actually turns out to be the case.

I mean, this shouldn't be a surprise.

this can be out of context, no? doesnt really describe the actual defeat of thanos and i think we all know/assume captain marvel will be involved in the final confrontation. but, maybe im grasping at straws cause i hope this is true, we dont get much info on the actual confrontation itself. just thats shes involved, which i already assumed in the first place
if tony is not the driving force behind the actual defeat of thanos i will melt harder than i ever have in a movie before. i laughed at what i was watching during TLJ, but i will probably be yelling at the screen in anger if captain marvel is the actual driving force behind his defeat in the final confrontation and not just a tool used by tony

Well duh, everyone knew CM was gonna be a difference maker. There's a reason why Fury beeped her after the snap. He knows that she is the real deal.
Idk why folks acting like they expect her to come in and be at Black Widows level.

Nothing about that scene is surprising.
We knew Captain Marvel was going to be in this movie. We also knew that Captain Marvel's main character trait was cockiness (I.E. more Stark than Cap)
If she's going to gang up with the rest, that's exactly how I'd expect her to behave.
Now, the question is how the Russo's handle the actual encounter with Thanos. I imagine that this scene is early in the movie. Remember, Marvel said they wouldn't show anything more than 15 minutes into the movie.

I think it is. She is probably being overconfident in the scene, and this is a scene about Endgame right before Captain Marvel's movie is released. It's as much a CM teaser as it is an Avengers teaser.

Tony not being in that scene, but Nebula being there, is leading me to believe Tony may die earlier in the movie

Thanos is omnipotent with the gauntlet so having another powerful superhero shouldn’t even matter. Thanos can disintegrate her with a thought.
Avengers are lucky she wasn’t vaporized in the snap.

Plot twist. Tony scavenges Nebula's parts to create a new armor to get home that looks just like Nebula and becomes the first transgender Marvel Superhero.

This is going to rustle people but it’s obviously misleading. She’s going to be a difference maker but she’s not going to be the one to defeat him

Not just transgender, but trans species!

Marvel is forcing Captain Marvel as a feminist icon down everyone's throat.
DC took just the opposite approach with Wonder Woman and it was fantastic. The no man's land scene did more for female superheros than anything Marvel has done or will do for female heroes.
Marvel let Black Widow flounder for years and they are trying to play catch up with DC on the female front. Harley Quinn was the only good thing about Suicide Squad and Wonder Wonder did so well it killed the DCEU(thank goodness).
So what does Marvel do? They let a newcomer to the MCU take out Thanos? People are gonna melt more than they did about this than they did with Star Wars TLJ if Captain Marvel is the one to defeat Thanos.

quote:my thoughts exactly. I see them at the beginning getting marvel on the team from earth trying to takeout thanos and him finding a way to win again or escape then they find the group thathat was on titan and that's when they are able to take him out, or something similar to that.

She's gonna jump to lightspeed straight through Thanos.

This is just stupid. Absolutely stupid.

As much as people complain about that scene it still looked cool as hell.
