I'm not sure you've seen the last movie.

Carol was on Earth for two-three days in the movie after she returned with powers.
Less than 100 people on earth saw her in action. Half of them were Shield or Skrulls. Keep in mind in this movie universe, the craziest thing we had seen on Earth was Captain America and he wasn’t glowing and shooting lasers out his hands.

How bout putting that in the thread you started?
Posted on 3/7/19 at 8:19 pm to TheeRealCarolina
So you are saying she has done nothing on Earth since 1990? Hey, if they make a point of explaining that, then it would clear things up.

Okay spoilers.....
The earliest plot point of Captain Marvel occurs in 1989, that’s when she gets her powers, is taken from Earth, gets brainwashed and so on and such. She returns briefly in 1995 which is when the main gist of the plot of the movie occurs. She has a valid reason for leaving. She tells Fury to only call her in emergencies only.
The first Avengers didn’t really qualify because he believed his team could handle it and they did. Second Avengers, again, he believed his team could handle it and again they did. Outside of those two, none of the situations the Earth-based movies presented that he was involved in would have warranted him calling her. He only called her in Infinity War because he saw people on Earth disappearing in front of him and he had no idea where all the Avengers were and if any of them were disappearing as well, so he had a reason to call her. He knew something planet threatening was going down and he had no idea what or any means to contact anyone else, so yeah that’s a legit reason to throw out the intergalactic SOS

But... but.. she's a WOMAN. They are trying to go all SJW on us by making her a WOMAN. Don't you get it?
Posted on 3/7/19 at 9:25 pm to SSpaniel
Their marketing was dookie for the movie and a bad rip off of Wonder Woman, but Captain Marvel has always been a chic. The SJW complaints about the movie were about Brie Larson’s comments about whose opinion she cares about when critiquing her movies and movies with female leads.
It’s less SJWy than Black Panther but really all of the SJW nonsense in that movie was from terrible writing for the villain and his motivation and his backstory. Really can break down why Killmonger’s daddy was either highly ignorant or just highly arrogant, or both.

Well, no, not really. Her not being around is easy. As for her playing a major part, she's going to play a major part moving forward. No reason to think she wouldn't be involved in the biggest fight in the MCU so far.
I'd just prefer the OGs to be the main players here, we have over 10 years invested in these guys, I just want them to get a proper conclusion not be a launching point for brie's dull arse

There's no reason a decent script can't do both.
Whining about Brie Larson doesn't change that.

How would she have known about it? The only people who knew were either on Titan, Nidavellir or Earth, right?
Gamora's planet, Knowhere and Xandar at least too

Hell of a lot of fragile male snowflakes getting triggered in this thread. Y'all really that threatened by a non-traditional, FEMALE (GASP) superhero...?
It's not about her being female.
Heck, it would be weird if Rocket, Groot, or Black Panther took out Thanos.
If it isn't the main narrative players - Cap, Thor, Iron Man - or someone with a direct connection to Thanos - Gamora, Neblua,- then it will be weird. Full stop.

Thanos is omnipotent with the gauntlet so having another powerful superhero shouldn’t even matter. Thanos can disintegrate her with a thought.
Avengers are lucky she wasn’t vaporized in the snap.
Spoilers...
If her power comes from the Tesseract, then she should be capable of destroying the space stone (like Scarlet Witch and the Mind Stone).

Y'all are a bunch of losers who will still carry books for the hot prom queen of the high school even though you get made fun of and treated like shite.
Everyone is melting over these comic book movies constantly yet y'all are way too into that dumb shite. SJW Captain will save the day and it will be full on melt. The only better case scenario is that Thanos whips so much arse there is never one of these piece of shite movies made again.

These two planets knowing means it was definitely known throughout the galaxy. Someone like Captain Marvel would have heard about it before being called by Nick Fury.

Tony not being in that scene, but Nebula being there, is leading me to believe Tony may die earlier in the movie
A theory making it way around is that Tony makes it back with Nebula but is so distraught that he quits the Avengers and goes back to California. Another piece to this is the scene in the first trailer with Paul Rudd. He's actually at Tony's house in California not the Avengers facility.
Doesn't make sense for him to get out of the QR and drive cross country to New York, when Tony is also in California.

Finally we're talking about the actual scene instead of SJW snowflake shite.
That would make sense, but I'm not sure I like Tony quitting. It would make sense, given that Nebula is there and he isn't, but with Captain Marvel there, and the Avengers reunited at the base, wanting revenge, I just don't like that Tony wouldn't want to avenge Peter and the others.
Obviously something happens, though, on their way to go kill Thanos because Hawkeye/Ronin still hasn't come into the picture and the time travel bit still hasn't come into play. Just have a gut feeling that scene is within the first 15 minutes.
Tony stranded in space, he and Nebula work it out and enter Earth's atmosphere, Avengers credits. Then the Captain Marvel mid-credits scene happens and she appears. They talk and then notice an energy signal near Earth and think it's Thanos but it's Tony and Nebula. Tony quits while everyone else is hellbent on revenge so they leave Tony behind. The question is...what makes them turn around and come back? Because there's still Cap being all forlorn looking and crying and then the shot of him at this support group...I just don't know where they're going with this. It has to be early in the movie.

But would he think Tony is still in California when Tony is usually in New York at the Avengers base?

I don't see it going down like this, but I could see Tony "quitting" instead of dying in Endgame.
Samuel L Jackson is 70. I could definitely see him dying in Endgame, Tony quitting after Endgame, and as we move in to the next era of the MCU we get Tony Stark Director of S.H.I.E.L.D..
RDJ's role gets scaled back to basically cameo levels like most of Nick Fury's and he becomes the bridge between the eras.
It would be consistent with the comics:
and would tie in with some filming photos from Endgame:
