Samuel L Jackson is 70. I could definitely see him dying in Endgame
We already know he's in the new Spider-Man movie, so his death in Endgame is highly unlikely.

I think the theory could work if Tony doesn't necessarily quit but he's like guys we tried brute force against Thanos and it's not going to work and says we have to try something else and the rest of the Avengers are like we have nothing else and go without Tony.
They then go and get their asses kicked (though I'm still not sure how they wouldn't be able to beat a wounded Thanos) and that's when they come back home, defeated again and everyone, including Tony and Cap are all depressed, Nat finds Clint, Thor goes off and gets drunk, and we have the time skip. Then, Scott escapes via a time vortex and goes to see Tony ( I guess who is now living in California again) to ask what the frick happened and we go from there.
ETA: or they find Thanos, kick his arse and tell him to reverse what he's done but he says he can't and that the gauntlet and stones are beyond repair and that what is done is done. And they all leave all despondent and hopeless.

We should also keep in mind, Marvel/Disney are kings of putting stuff in trailers for misdirection that's not actually in the film

True but I could still see a situation where Tony comes back, not really giving up, but saying that killing Thanos isn’t going to bring anyone back so the Avengers go without him, fight Thanos, tell him to reverse it and he says he can’t and nothing can reverse it so they come back to Earth and deal with the aftermath, everyone doing their own thing, etc.
Until Scott shows up from the QR and doesn’t realize something is wrong until he sees Cassie is 5 years older so he goes to Tony for answers.

She's 5 years older? Where did you see that?

Am I the only one who had no idea who Captain Marvel was until this new movie? Literally had never heard of this superhero.

How was she supposed to know about that before Fury paged her?
The better question is why was Fury not involved AT ALL until the very end? Without looking it up, the events that play out take place over the course of at least a day or two, right? First huge fight took place in NYC, so you'd think that would have shown up on Fury's radar nearly immediately. A few conversations later and he's up to speed on Thanos and his plans... That seems big enough to call in what is looking like the biggest gun.
As much as I absolutely loved IW, the fact that Fury seemed completely out of the loop the entire time and clearly had no fricking idea ANYTHING was happening as he drove around with Hill made no sense to me.

They recast her for Infinity War, an actress that is a teenager in real life. The actress that appeared as her in the other movies is 10 now. The actress they just cast for her is 17.

Nick Fury, the spy of all spies who has secrets within secrets, is clueless for much of the MCU. One of the biggest plot holes or problems I had with Winter Soldier (among many. And I know it's heresy here to even criticize that movie) is how Hydra has infiltrated SHIELD, the government and international organizations and Fury doesn't have a sniff. Hell, a Senator is so brazen he is giving hugs and exchanging public "Hail, Hydras". Hydra has recruited enough special forces/commando types within the SHIELD building to attack Cap in the elevator. These didn't just show up that day. They've worked from the inside for a while. Again, good old Nick was oblivious.
I think it's fair to say Fury and Coulson are the Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz of the spy world.

And Agent Coulson. And if SHIELD knew of her existence, then HYDRA knew. And wasn't all SHIELD/HYDRA data released to the world. If so, then pretty much the world knew of her. Unless Fury and Coulson kept her existence a secret from SHIELD.
Speaking of Coulson, why wouldn't he have mentioned Cap Marvel in the TV show. Perhaps Agent Coulson in Cap Marvel movie is a Skrull??

I only knew of Marvel's "Captain Marvel" because of DC Comics. I always thought the character was a prop for Marvel to sue DC out of using the "Captain Marvel" moniker for the original Captain Marvel. DC simply conceded the point and went with calling him Shazam. That was the extent of the bulk of my knowledge of this character prior to this movie being announced. Marvel's Captain Marvel is not a big comic book draw.

This could be quite telling. How many movies is she signed on for?

If they don't give Cap, Panther , Widow, Winter Soldier and any of the other people who can actually karate chop the hell out of somebody some actual screen time and cool stuff to do then I give up.
Anybody can be a superhero if you like cap marvel, can fly and shoot bolts out ya arse. The real hero's are the ones who are super outclassed yet still fight.

I mean, this shouldn't be a surprise
I mean, that’s pretty much the entire point of the ending clip of IW, it would be pretty dumb if she wasn’t a huge part in beating Thanos
And this board was very excited about that happening until she said some shite they didn’t like

The idea is that Tony is really torn up about Parker's death among the others. That's when, in seclusion; in whatever mansion he's hiding out it, runs into Ant-Man who will then inform him about the QR.
Remember, Pym did not want a Stark privy to his technology. Don't remember what movie it was but Pym stated that. I feel that Lang will give him info to the technology which will reinforce Tony getting back involved with fighting Thanos again.
I think it's been stated by someone involved in the film that Tony will be affected by Parker's death so this is what I'm basing it on.

It was always Captain Marvel using time travel to defeat Thanos. This is common knowledge

not entering the political foray, but that was before the trailers came out and she was really wooden and terrible at delivering lines... and then said her white men comments.
i don't think there was a lot of hate before both of those.
