The show is like SVU. Turn your brain off. Watch a ridiculous story. Whatever.

This character Garcia and the information she pulls to find suspects is ridiculous from this “database”. Example one of many: “Suspect is on sabbatical from his job.” The most absurd is “Looks like he quit his job two days ago.”

None of this crap would ever show up in any kind of database or computer, even with complete state run societies.

It’s gone from mildly intrusive patriot act believable to outright lazy writing and a plot device to close a show out in 39 minutes.

I don’t know why this bothers me but it does. I can deal with lazy writing. It’s hard to abide mythological databases that captures every known fact for random people in bum frick Albany, NY.

Unneeded and useless rant over.

Like SVU, Criminal Minds is the same depiction of horrible degeneracy, week after week, hour after hour, ad infinitum. I don't see how people can watch that negative shite day after day.

I always loved the DNA or fingerprint machines on CSI. You just stick some stuff in, and the jumbotron starts riffling between people.

10 seconds later, the suspect's photo pops up, along with pages of bio information down to their childhood pet and favorite color.

Or the enhancing video cliche:

Useless character. Cowers in a barn while Reid gets abducted, gets walked up on and gets hit in the head with a shovel, parades around in the back of the team aimlessly pointing a gun.

Actors welfare is what it is. Garbage.

Another thing I’ve hated in some form on this show.

When BAU delivers a “profile” they all stand up there and say one piece of information like a group project and they have some insight. JJ is the worst about this because you know she has no experience to back up anything.

JJ doesn’t know crap but somehow they kept her on the show by saying “she finished her BAU classes”. So she goes from Press Liaison to crime fighter at large. It’s a joke. Let’s not mention the actual behavioral research required to do this.

Nope! Any mom with a part time job can do this if she takes some classes.

Now that I think about it. I hate this show.

"hackers" are the new magic

all of these shows have 1 or 2 characters that are walking deus ex machina devices to solve every case

it's either garcia hacking or the smart guy figuring it all out offscreen only to reveal it right before the end

Matthew Gray Gubler was great as his Criminal Minds antithesis in 68 Kill. Where did they find those people in the trailer? They look like people who would hang out with Zed at the Pulp Fiction pawn shop.

Garcia solves all their cases. “Garcia, we think he posts on tigerdroppings and likes to fight at sonic. we need a list.” Garcia, “I’ve got him . It’s diamond dog and he’s buying truck nuts right now out of ogeron’s trunk at Hooters.”

My biggest beef with the show.

Bad enough when they each recite a stanza as a way of relaying info to some local cop, but sometimes they’ll do it to each other with no “audience” on screen.

Every grievance listed in this thread was on display every 60 seconds of the show 24 and I still watched it.
