Why the hell wouldn't they invite all the former greats to be hosts?
I wish...Seems dumb as hell to have Ariana Grande and Jean Smart as hosts for their 50th season.
Hopefully the 50th anniversary special will be good.

Bumping this thread to remind everyone that SNL returns tomorrow night. Can't wait for the cold open, and to see Jelly Roll perform.
Also, Jean Smart is really good, and you should watch Hacks on Max.

Most recently, Emmy-winner from Hacks on HBO.
And she's great in it.
She also played the patriarch of the Gerhardt crime family in season 2 of Fargo. The best season, IMO.

You know Alec Baldwin will be there every week with another tired, low hanging fruit, not funny Trump impersonation.
Make sure to hide the props.

He and Annie Potts carried that show, IMO

Idk maybe Critical Drinker or Nerdrotuc will do a show about it and you'll be interested in giving your opinion on stuff you would never watch like usual.

Yes, I never watch trash TV or movies because apparently unlike you, I have a life.
Well played.

5, maybe 6? Total. Not thousand, single digits.
I don't Facebook, Instagram, and barely reddit.
But because I know what I think, and why, and can put those ideas into words, that is supposed to mean what, exactly?

This season opener was a mess. There isn’t a single likable cast member other than Keenan. The writing was terrible . The gay Asian dude is in way too many skits. Smart didn’t seem to fit in any of the skits. I’m pretty sure Jellyroll gained weight.
They did make a few jokes about the assassination attempt on Weekend Update so there’s that.
What will it take to pull the plug on this show?

I thought the cold open was awesome- they made fun of the Dems WAY MORE than I expected them to. We just started watching, but my wife and I are both in tears at how funny Dana Carvey was.

Haven't really paid much attention, but I'm surprised they cut Punky Johnson and Molly Kearney.

I assume this is sarcasm. They were awful.

It was the best political cold open they’ve done in a long time. But that isn’t saying much. It felt like a Harris promotion for a bit and the Trump bit wasn’t that great…it was just ok. Maya’s Harris impersonation is good but they fell short at writing actual funny jokes.
Dana Carvey saved the skit. He is a prime example of what a political figure impersonation should be. It wasn’t an amazing impersonation but it did not matter because he was actually funny!
I didn’t watch the rest of the show. Tuned out halfway through the first boring sketch.

I’m like 7 episodes in now. It’s great. I don’t know how I missed it for this long.

I liked the 100k pyramid sketch even though the jokes were pretty lazy.
The spirit Halloween commercial was solid.
