I'm not a huge fan of Rudolph's Kamala bit but she's got a solid groove in it now. It looks effortless for her. Gaffigan as Walz was fricking perfect. Carvey's Biden is hilarious (brings to mind his MIckey Rooney and Grumpy Old Man characters). Yang as Vance was terrible. No idea why they're pushing Yang so hard on this show. He's definitely the most comfortable in front of the camera, but he's pretty one note even with his "impressions". Ego Nwodim is one of the best things they have going for them, and they kept her hidden the entire episode except for the horrific, laughless fajita sketch.

I could be mistaken. Based on how often he goes to do interviews singing the blues about mean, mean Elon Musk who didn't get his jokes and hurt everyone's feelings, I may have incorrectly inferred his status among the writers. He also went on ad nauseum about Sydney Sweeney's involvement in the writing process, begging them to make jokes about her boobs.

No. I was just surprised to read that he was a head writer and was hoping it wasn’t true.
But it would also be believable with how bad the writing has been. Yang sucks and is a stereotypical gay drama queen.
