At least he’s aware of the filth garbage. Good step forward Good parenting exposes this shite.

My son (6th grade) said there’s some kid trying to do the pronoun shite. He said they just call the kid banana.

That's not the point or reason for this thread.

A very small amount.
Let's say it's 4%. That's ~14 million in the US alone. By comparison, there are only 14 million Jews in the entire world.

There are 2 billion moslems and over a billion Africans, over a billion Indians and a over a billion Chinese. I'm guessing if movies were populated 25% by moslems, and all these other ethnicities in "proper" proportion, you would call that woke too.

Just say what you mean: since you're straight and white, that's what you want it to be, regardless of the numbers.

It definitely happened. Kids are just as tired of the crap as adults are.

My kids 100% say things like this. I’m pretty “open minded” about it in terms of not hiding that sort of stuff from my kids, but they flat out didn’t want to watch episode 3 of LoU because they heard it was gay.

If you had told me at 18 that I’d be getting onto my kids for using gay as an insult or tell them to stop saying “that’s gay,” I wouldn’t have believed you, but here I am.

Oh don’t worry, everyone stopped watching willow.

Kind of sad and fricked up. That young it's not like it's the kids fault. Usually shitty parenting.

They wouldn't think twice because the studio wouldn't make a huge spectacle and market the product based off the Italian

Anyone else remember the marketing materials for the Shazam sequel that focused on a gay orphan?

I certainly don't.

the "think" there is an agenda part is because we all know it's there, I bet if i searched the credits of almost every movie there would be a DEI consultant. That being said i do believe there is a fatigue of things being included with little to no substance other than being included. Sadly this movie being judged for something that honestly felt natural, it just came at a time where "everyone is doing it". With today's children i think 1 in 7 is likely and i also didn't feel like it detracted from the story at all. Shazam 2 was a fun watch and if you enjoyed the first one you will enjoy this one.

After around 2012, I simply don’t find the inclusion lgbt or (over representation of) racial minorities in movies to be organic. I’m not bemoaning it, I just recognize it’s done for virtue signaling as opposed to creativity or talent.

Not if the gay character is a legitimate part of the story and they didn’t change a straight character to gay or throw someone in there to meet a quota

Example of perfectly fine: Last of Us E3. Characters that were already gay were portrayed closely with important story ties and emotional weight

Example of awful/woke: The Last Jedi. Holdo is clearly an LGBT character that was shoehorned into the story for agenda reasons. She’s a character that never showed up in anything else, yet is supposedly Leia’s best friend and magically the second in command even though Ackbar and everyone else is still there. I’m cool with new characters but that makes no sense story wise

That's a very reasonable take.

And movie audiences don’t care about gay people in movies.

A true statement. It's why Bros. crashed and burned. For some reason, though, they keep stuffing the gays into movies.

That's like the "people don't want superhero movies anymore" meme that runs through here. It's not superheroes or gays that people don't want to see. It's bad movies that they don't want to see.

People still love The Birdcage. People still laugh at Steven Stucker in Airplane and Paul Lynde in Bewitched. But no, people aren't going to support a shitty gay movie or a shitty gay performance.

Why do you think they keep adding letters and "+" signs? It's so they can keep making that number go up.

There is a growing number of the Gs in that list that don’t think they belong in the same list as the Ts. Gs have fought to have people believe they were “born that way” and it is not something you can just change (which is what Ts believe).

All the talk of the gay kid. I feel like the pedophile got looked over. 6,000 year old woman and a high school kid. She looks his age so it's supposed to be ok.

Because of GLAAD. That's why there's an LGBTQ character in everything.

GLAAD is basically extorting Hollywood and they're gunning for 50% of all characters in New content being LGBTQ.
