Prometheus better than Predator? They should be ashamed.

And they have Into Darkness as a better movie than Wrath of Khan? Holy shite. Whoever made this list needs to be beaten with a bag of oranges.

But it appears that they are being very liberal with the definition of Science Fiction. A lot of the films on there are dystopian movies, not science fiction movies. Still, frick this list.

What an astonishingly bad list. How is it that people whose entire job is based on having well-thought-out, good opinions can have such terrible, awful, nonsensical opinions?

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, they have The Last Jedi in the top ten; ahead of the original trilogy. Was this list made for the sole purpose of pissing people off?

They have Star Trek 2009 at #12, Star Trek Search for Spock at #99, and Star Trek The Motion Picture isn't even on the list.

What a terrible list.

Welcome to Clickbait Journalism 101...you don’t make $ off of appropriately ranking good movies, you have to put something outlandish to generate clicks. This is the way of the world now and it sucks.

So it’s a list based on their scores? No wonder it’s such an awful list

I gonna post this and let you decide if this list has merit

2001 was not even top 25, that is pretty bad.

I couldn’t get past Ready Player One being 20 positions higher than Interstellar. That’s just garbage.

It's based on the RT positive/negative formula, and it suffers from the same flaw.

Middle of the road, decent movies score higher than polarizing movies. A movie everyone thinks is good, not great can pull in the 90's while a movie that is more controversial suffers.

Add in changing times and that's it. All the list does is take RT %'s and weight them by # of reviews. Critics are really always like that. Saving Private Ryan is at 93% positive and I always wonder WTF at the 7% negative.

That’s not bad at all. Ready Player One is a love letter to nerd culture. Interstellar was a brooding mess.

these best of lists often feature recent movies over classics.

I generally disregard them, plus i have seen everything on these lists.

The execption to this is the AFI lists.

I really have to greatly question anyone’s intelligence who tells me that Ready Player One is a better movie than Interstellar without laughing. RPO is stupid, safe, and squanders all of its potential. Nolan tried to one up 2001 in ambition and scope, and while he didn’t exactly succeed in doing that, it’s a hell of a lot better than that mindless garbage that is easily Spielberg’s worst film.
