Never gets old.

That and The Pacific (which I actually love equally) are on Amazon Prime for Memorial Day.

Also there's a documentary on Amazon Prime about Patton. Narrated by Ronald Reagan.

There's also the Academy Award winning documentary series:

WWII: Big Battles, Great Generals directed by John Ford

It starts with Midway and has actual color footage of the attack by Japan.

Idk why but the scene I always think of when someone mentions Band of Brothers is the one early in the series where an American(cant remember who it was) is walking by some Capture Germans and one of the Germans starts speaking English to him and them figure out that they grew up right down the road from each other. The he walks aways and hears them all get gunned down...idk scene has always stuck with me.

Just finished rewatching it last weekend. It's simply such a wonderful watch.

It's always the Speirs "he came back" scene.

The concentration camp scenes in "Why we fight" always kill me.

My favorite thing on tv ever. I’ve watched it an embarrassing amount of times, and have yet to not tear up at the finale.

I've started bob but never finished. Reading the book now and then going to watch the entire series.

One scene that sticks out is on Day of Days when Lt. Winters looks out of the plane and looks at all the other planes and boats setting out to begin the invasion.

Always thought Band of Brothers was maybe the greatest single production on television I have ever seen.

There are series that are probably better as an overall, long running episodic collection, but nothing I've ever seen rises to the level of Band of Brothers, pound for pound.

There's a reason this mini series is still so admired and so relevant, even nearly 17-plus years after it aired....its that good and that impactful.

There's a scene in basically every episode that strikes the emotions of the viewer. Out of all the projects Hanks has ever been a part of, this should be his proudest.

I have no idea how Speirs was able to run so fast with the weight of his genitalia weighing him down.

+1

Interview with the guy saying he served in a company of heroes, always gets me.

Great series - just a heads up but I think they're on Amazon Prime regularly, not just MD weekend.

I saw a video on Facebook yesterday of a WWII veteran of the 101st singing the "What a Hell of a Way to Die" song in 2016. I believe you can hear this song in the 9th episode of the miniseries.

It is really, really cool.

Found it on YouTube

I recently returned from Belgium. The Easy Company foxholes by Foy and Bastogne are still there. Seeing the actual foxholes in the middle of the woods was very sobering and made me appreciate the series even more. I can also vouch that the scenery and and woods in BoB are identical to the real thing.
