Think it’s pretty interesting. Woman should never have been in that situation. There was no way that was t going to end in disaster. Pausing the doc for now (right before the infamous dance) but my takeaway is she’s not close to being talented enough and when she found herself in that situation, she wasn’t mentally tough enough to not walk over the ledge.

She wanted the fame and to be a meme
She knew she sucked
She got a Netflix documentary from it
Mission accomplished on her end

They portray her as an innocent victim, which is BS. She knew she that she sucked, everyone around her knew that she sucked, but they all coddled her and told her that she was "quirky" and gee wilikers you can represent Australia and make us proud and other woke BS.
And that's why breakdacing is no longer in the olympics.

The doc tries to make you feel sorry for her.
If her dumbass husband wouldn't have kept telling her how amazing she is she would have known she was terrible in comparison.
I mean they could have just watched women breakdancing on youtube, and be like frick all that.

True. It's crazy that she put herself in that situation 100% completely of her own volition.

In these competitions, you either want to be the very best, or very worst (see William Hung singing “She Bang” on American Idol). Either way, you get notoriety and publicity. Mission accomplished.

She should get destroyed. There were other more talent out there.

I can't decide if her and her husband are full on delusional or have simply committed to a bit so hard the lines of reality seem to have blurred.
She should have never made it that far though so some of that is on the organizers and her in name only coach.

I think they just are mediocre people who found themselves in a situation so far above their heads, they don’t know what to do.
I think the documentary of what I’ve seen is safe in what words are actually spoken. But it constantly shows her inability to do complicated moves and the look of concern during some of the media bits.
I’ll put it like this… it’s like a parrot. They have no clue what they’re actually saying or doing but the husband and Raygun are saying what they think should be said without thinking of how they’re setting themselves up to failure.
Where I left off, they were talking about how “we knew we were outclassed, but we wanted to get at least one point. And we knew we couldn’t compete from a physical standpoint. So maybe we can try and do something memorable”

Maybe on SNL or Family Feud, but not in the Olympics. I cant think of any other shitty Olympian that got famous for sucking. Just her.

And that’s exactly my point…

How’d she win Oceania then?
I think it is clear that Oceania should not have had a slot.

I thought it was interesting from the standpoint of seeing just how that whole "performance" came to be. The only reason I watched was because it was so short.

Exactly. Let's see people try those moves. Think they can do the Kangaroo?
