The southern gothic “Angel from Montgomery” scene in the finale with Ruth and the trailer park and all the Langmore ghosts…. I mean damn. I could use more of that.

Just finished it. Disappointing to say the least. Wish Wendy would have been killed. Hell, I wish they all would’ve been killed.

What ever happened to the baby? The girl drops him off to ruth at her trailer and that's the last I remember seeing him. Isn't he the heir of Darlene, etc.?

...yea thats kinda odd. i guess the baby dies from being abandoned if rachel doesnt find it like the next morning.

She took the baby to the police station, where he was placed in foster care

They still own part of the casino, right? Where does Ruth's shares go? She has no family left that we know of.

I just assumed Three inherited it all and goes on to live in the lake house with the fancy new pool.

It was a little sloppy but I was pretty satisfied with the ending. One thing I kept thinking was that the show could have been better with better actors playing the kids. The kid playing Jonah is like a male Kristen Stewart and they gave him the damn ending

Finished last night. It was about as I expected. I haven't been a fan since the show went completely off the rails completely when Ben was introduced and they started going to Mexico.

Ozark is a show with incredible production values. Great cinematography, lighting, shots, etc. Great acting. But all of that is wrapped around terrible writing and story. It's actually fascinating content to consume.

The constant need to have 1-2 events EVERY episode that completely frick up their plans and cause them to have to think of a new one on the fly is what has always corrupted this show at its core. The ending fits the show like a glove.

I mentally checked out after Wyatt was killed…double homicide, missing baby, cops all over the house…then Ruth just walks into the barn and there’s piles of heroin on the table that no one found? The last couple of seasons was peppered with that type of totally unrealistic scenarios (even by suspended belief standards) that went too far.

The FBI, who is HEAVILY INVESTED in this town and 100% knows about the Darlene/Byrde stuff, and also knows the herion-dealing cartel is all up in the area, does not give a single frick about a mysterious double murder that screams "the cartel is involved"

The wife and I finally finished it. Very blah ending. Watching the last few episodes this is what I wanted to happen. I thought that maybe the Ruth/Camilla stand off we would see Ruth get a gun from her truck as she got out and those 2 would end up killing each other. With Camilla and her brother both gone, the cartel would lean hard on Marty to step back in and run things, but as he begins to refuse his loud mouth wife begins to get confrontational with a high ranking Lieutenant in the cartel and they blow Wendy’s brains out all over Marty and he knows instead of getting out, he’s going to be “in” until he’s killed or dies. All the while he leaves and he watches his kids as they watch him drive off knowing they may never see him again and he looks at them knowing they’ll never be truly safe or “out” of the cartel too.

I’ve said for a long long time this show is missing one type of character: some local veteran maybe former spec ops guy who takes a liking to the kids or Ruth or gets tied in with Marty that could almost realistically ex machina them out of stuff. The gritty old timer kind of filled that role at the beginning but there should’ve been someone else who was younger and could act to a counter to the cartels tough guy almost. I hated how every American In the show other than Ruth and Darlene comes across as a total pussy.

God damn this show went off the rails. At the end of season 2 the show had so many directions it could go, and they chose to go in the most boring direction possible. The FBI shite was terrible ever since the agent petty died. Them taking over the casino operations was a complete snooze fest, along with the FBI head man and woman.

The cartel stuff got dumb, topped off with Marty running the cartel. Just a complete shite show of a storyline.

The KC mob was a completely wasted storyline. Those characters did nothing in the show whatsoever.

The show would have been far more interesting if Jacob and Darlene ended up in a war with the KC mob, the cartel, etc. The FBI should have been off of the show after agent Petty died.

The amount of screen time Wendy got, the writers should be embarrassed. I think this show really just turned into a female power show somewhere in season 3. I never thought I would dislike a Jason Bateman character, but it actually got to the point where I got tired of seeing his submissive arse on the screen.

All the foundation and political bullshite was tiresome and stupid too. That's another path they never should have gone down. I can't think of a single character or storyline that wasn't botched.

Spot on about Wendy. She’s got to be one of the most hated characters of all time; should’ve just been a background character with more focus on Marty as the decision maker

It’s so bizarre that Wendy’s line in the sand was the voting machines. Think of all the horrific crap she did throughout the show, but voter fraud in Michigan and Wisconsin is where her conscience came in.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned that really irked me about the finale:

Wendy is such an evil manipulative power-hungry count, but that last 15 minutes made sure we all understood that a democrat would never, ever jeopardize the security of an election…

And also wasn’t Schafer supposedly on the opposite side of the aisle? Before they first had meetings with him and his name was first brought up didn’t they mention how he and Wendy were against each other in the past? If so, the R would be the one that would no question use hacked voting machines, but no sir not Wendy

the show would have been boring with no conflict.

this actually a great metaphor for the modern liberal lol

last episode was bad, very bad. Whole show ends with Jonah killing a fringe character that no one even cares about? K.

The pointless car crash where all of them should have died but all walk away with a few scratches? K.

Ruth dying in the most unsatisfying way possible? K.

Wendy not getting killed? K.

Just the day before, she and Rachel killed Nelson who drove an SUV to her property in an attempt to kill her. So, she gets home from the casino, sees the same type of SUV in her driveway, and calmly gets out and starts shouting for someone to hear her. That was pretty lazy writing. Could have had a better way for Ruth to go.
