Well, this has become a sad day. RIP to one of the best comedians to ever grace this planet.

Has anyone done a wellness check on OML yet?

In all honesty, I never got into Norm like most of you did. But over time I grew to appreciate him more than I used to. Even still, I always appreciated that he never seemed to give a frick. And good for him for keeping his cancer battle private instead of milking sympathy out of it. RIP, Norm.

Oh no…. I was one of his biggest fans… 2021 can’t get fricked enough. Norm in my opinion was the funniest living human being… and now he’s gone.

Norm Macdonald is in my hall of fame if only for one joke. He was doing the SNL Weekend Update in '95 or so and said this, in his matter-of-fact tone of voice and with an incredulous semi-smirk on his face:

"After the OJ Simpson acquittal verdict was announced, Washington DC mayor Marion Berry urged both white Americans and black Americans... To help get him some crack."

Just read it. Tears are coming out on this. Last time I cried for a celebrity death was Robin Williams. Going to pour one out for Norm. Been a fan of his since I was 9. I now know how teenage girls felt when John Lennon and Elvis Presley died. Norm was my hero, but man heaven just gained one funny mother fricker.

For whatever reason laughed very hard at the episode from his sitcom where they put a mop on the belly of their Dachshund so that she would clean the floors as she walked around. That moment has always stuck with me. Norm was great; this is sad news.

I don’t think RIP is appropriate for Norm. Here’s my tribute to him: When you get up there Norm, keep knocking them dead. You were the best and a completely fearless comic.

This would probably be my favorite Norm joke about OJ:

“Well in sworn disposition this week, OJ Simpson claimed that he never ever beat, choked or hit his ex-wife with a closed or open fist. Luckily for OJ, lawyers forgot to ask if he had ever cut her head off.”

His ESPYs monologue is still one of the greatest performances of all time.

Let’s go nuts. Swords for $48,000.

Norm was one of the most hilarious comedians I’ve ever seen. RIP to a legend.

Maybe my favorite post-Carlin comedian.

RIP
