Odysseus had to get back to Penelope. Pussy was just as undefeated then as it is now.

There are zoomers on Twitter freaking out because Nolan is adapting a 2000 year old book they never heard of.
I wish I was joking. They are real.

None of those actors would fit Odysseus IMO.

Sounds like it's Matt Damon as Odysseus.

There's no such thing as Twitter.
Also X/the internet is 90% bots, just because you see something posted doesn't mean it's a real person.
Dead internet theory is real.
There are 1,000 post chains that are pretty much all bots. You can tell because they will comment the same shite basically. Even when a picture is clearly AI generated

I thought of that as a way of connecting to the Aeneas/Creation myth.

Starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson

It’s not a straight up Ancient Greek epic. It’s the story beats of the odyssey told through the lense of a futuristic helicopter pilot trying to get home.

I really feel there was a missed opportunity to do the Odyssey a couple years after Troy came out with Sean Bean as Odysseus. He's too old for the role now.

wish he would have gone further back and remade Troy too. But not by completely changing the story so the main characters don’t die in the middle. Orlando’s Paris surviving the siege was straight up retarded.
Taking the active participation of the gods out of any Greek story is retarded. Their pettiness and rivalries are major causes of man’s misfortune.

I gave up on Nolan after sitting through the boring slogfest garbage that was Dunkirk. He's really gone downhill as a director since Inception.

Always surprises me to see The Odyssey adapted so often and not The Illiad, which I enjoyed a lot more and which is a lot more action oriented.

The studio making the movie doesn’t seem to agree with you

All I know is Ludwig’s score for this will win another Oscar.

O Brother Where Art Thou already covered The Odyssey. There is nothing that will top it

Not according to sources. It is the true tale of Homer’s “The Odyssey”
