What Dreams May Come was an amazing movie... That's also the most depressing.

Saving Private Ryan for me too. An amazing movie from start to finish. I am normally not an emotional person and this movie made me feel so much, from the beach landing to the fight scene where the Jewish soldier loses his single fight for survival, to the end where Tom Hanks tells Matt Damon, I hope you are worth it. A masterpiece all time movie I just can’t get through a second time, and I have tried a few times.

Requiem for a Dream. Just to dang depressing and hopeless.

Blue Velvet. Way too creepy. Incredible movie but it just was way to disturbing to rewatch.

Someone mentioned Apoclypto. That's an all time great for me, I could watch that every year.

True story, the worry caused by this movie is so ingrained that you can play the theme and have players in your RPG campaign instantly regret everything.

Hell, as I get older I can't even hardly watch nature shows anymore. At first I'm pulling for the wolf because she's hungry and needs to feed her pups. Then, I'm pulling for the caribou because he's fighting for his life.

Cant remember if it was the Netflix one or Planet Earth 2 but when the killer whales chases down the baby orca and kill it. The mom tries to help her baby outrun the killer whales but the baby just tires out to where it can swim any more and that's when they get it. Me and the wife were crying so bad. I get sad just thinking about it.

I'd be fine with every killer whale dying. The momma orca carries 2 years before she has it. So dang sad.

Drive. Damn good film. It’s a one off though.

I didn’t necessarily love Girl with the Dragon tattoo but it was good. Rape makes it impossible to watch more than once.

Also.

Nightcrawler. That’s an exhausting movie. Gyllenhaal and Russo killed it too much as sociopaths.

Joker
Logan
Momento
Se7en
Gone Girl
8mm
you were never really here
Schindler's List
Passion of the Christ

Joker being the most recent. Masterfully made movie and heartbreaking. Came away agreeing with all the praise, but never ever wanting to watch or think about it again.
i appreciate less than happy/twisted endings and pulling them off, but it doesn't make me want to return to it.

You're right. Must have been a gray or humpback, I forget. But they do eat their own.

that's another one. interestingly most of Finchers works are that way for me.

also interesting, since Panic Room, i am 6 for 6 of getting laid immediately after one of his movies.

the only ones i watched twice were GWTDT and SN and repeat viewings yielded the same results.

my wife either has something for his style or Trent Reznor soundtracks really turn her on.

This one might be a bit weird....Shazam!

the scene where Billy finally finds his real mom and confronts her about why she left him.....

Her saying, "well, it looked like you were doing ok and you were in good hands so i left"

Ive never cried harder in a movie theater. like, honest to God tears from my soul type tears. I kept telling myself to get it together but couldnt for a solid 5 minutes.

A) was never expecting that to be in the movie
B) I've had that conversation IRL.

Loved the movie but can NEVER see it again.

i cannot relate (my dad is a bit of an arse but he did love me as best he could,) but i know that the "why don't he love me?" scene from Fresh Prince is a kick in the nuts every time i see it 20 years later, so i feel for you.
