The line itself is just schlocky movie dialogue.

What it represents, however, is the whole reason Ray plowed under his corn and built the diamond…and Ray finally realizing it. It essentially sums up the whole movie.

It’s also the icebreaker between Ray and John. No more awkward “I know who you are, but I’m kind of afraid to say it”.

Anyone with a close bond with his brother will understand. That ending gets me every time.

Ol' Yeller

Honestly, any movie where a pet dies. As someone who has been deeply connected to their pets over the years, that can be really rough.

The ending of Raising Arizona
The ending of School of Rock
The ending of It's a Wonderful Life (already mentioned)

I forgot about School of Rock until a recent rewatch. The ending builds up with incredible tension, then a euphoric resolution and happy ending that gets me misty.

Even before I had kids, I ugly cried in the theater when Cooper watches his kids grow up in the span of a few minutes. I can't imagine how I would react now.

Angels With Dirty Faces with James Cagney & Pat O'Brien. Right before they are going to electrocute Cagney O'Brien asks him to break down, show that he's scared so all the kids that looked up to him might turn their lives around. One last favor for best friends. Tells him no way.

shite it's like I'm peeling onions right now.

Every damn year. Me, ugly crying and sobbing loudly. I won't watch with my family anymore because they laugh at me too much. Instead, I'm usually watching it while baking something or wrapping presents at midnight on Christmas Eve.

One scene in Peggy Sue got Married, when she lifts the telephone and it's her Grandmother's voice.
I bawled.
