I have seen this movie dozens of times, and just realized that this year as well

It drives my wife crazy because I always make such a huge deal that at the end of HA2, the cop fires his pistol into the air in friggen NYC.

It was 1 AM on Christmas morning in early 90s Central Park, not a huge deal.

Soooo anyone can just go into Central Park in NYC at 1am and shoot up in the air and it be no big deal? Assuming its a .38 that bullet can travel well over a mile. You sir, are a complete buffoon.

You always catch something new. Watched HA2 and noticed Tim Curry’s character’s name…Mr. Hector.
Also read that Uncle Frank’s “Cool Jerk” yelling part (“I’ll slap you silly” was ad libbed by the actor.

30 years ago with NYC's sky-high murder rate? Probably.

How come the pizza delivery boy never called the cops? I mean you have to think he believed some dude tried to light him up over a tip....you might run to the cops?

My first contribution to this page was way back on page 3.
Time flies. I was in PT school at the time.
LSU was just smashing teams left and right on their way to an eventual championship. Or so I thought. Until Bama got a second chance.

Dang. This thread started during the first Obama term.
Anyways. Kind of dickish of Kate Mccallister to tell Kevin that there are 15 people in this house and you’re the o ly one who has to make trouble.
Buzz is an a-hole
Fuller pisses on everything.
Frank won’t even buy pizza.
All the siblings call him names and belittle him.
Lots of trouble being started.

We thought the same thing during a recent rewatch.
Simultaneously one of the funniest scenes and most glaring plot holes of the movie.

I'd like to watch the ridiculous movie within the movie

While watching the other night, I started thinking about how the actor that played Peter is dead. So, I started looking up other actors and found a few interesting things:
1. The actor that plays Marv was only 32 when shooting the movie
2. The mom was only 34
3. The old cop that radios back saying for them to count their kids again is still alive and 93
4. The old lady that doesn't know if the toothbrush is ADA approved is still alive an 93

He's Peter and Kate's firstborn, so he gets a pass from them

Not their kid

Remember, Frank only has traveler's checks (likely the kind that don't work in France)

All of which happened out of sight of their parents.

Roberts Blossom (Marley) was only 66 (easily looked 10 years older)

Speaking of Marley, I would love an explanation of what happened to his hand when he was buying bandaids. Based on the makeshift bandage around his hand, he was going to need something more substantial than simple bandaids. Also, banging his hand on the counter then just staring at Kevin like a psychopath was certainly an interesting decision.

Watching on Freeform and just noticed the officer's name in the Crisis Center for the first time. Sgt. Balzak (
) Him and Rose are completely worthless. "Hyper on line 2."
Also, Sgt. Balzak has three donuts stacked up on his desk like a complete psycho.

Does anyone else find it odd that Uncle Frank just expected that he should receive a "wake up call" the morning of the flight?

The radar screen in HA2 where it shows the Kevin's plane and his family's plane leaving in different directions... This type of radar in not exactly a live view as shown. In reality, it would only update a plane's location with each revolution of the dish/signal.
No one in these movies can distinguish a recorded voice or sound effect (tape or tv) from a live sound.
HA2, Kevin "canon balls" into the pool and loses his shorts, but the under water shot clearly shows them still on.
HA2, The number of times Kevin almost bumps into the "sticky" bandits before the encounter outside Duncan's store is Powerball odds territory.
