I must be confusing it with the first one where Uncle Frank is like "You know how much money your dad is paying for this trip??" or whatever.
Yeah, Peter paid for the trip in HA2

Not really and over anaalyzation, but the bird lady is awful in HA2. The dialougue between her and Kevin was so unbelievable, nothing like the old father in Home Alone.

The Hotel would've made for a much more interesting battle at the end

The best part about Home Alone is when they all arrive home and find Kevin safe, there's a 10 second celebration, 1 minute conversation and then everyone just goes about their business.

I wish there was a better way to search this thread.
I just put HA on for it's first holiday watch and noticed the insane amount of milk and soda at the McCallister household.
It's understandable that Kevin's mom didn't want spoiled milk left at the house but if that was an issue why in the hell did she buy 3 one gallon jugs plus another half gallon carton? On top of that, if you want everyone drinking milk why in the hell are there 4 or 5 two liter soda bottles AND soda cans readily available for everyone to grab right there on the table and in the fridge? Put those damn things in the garage fridge that they almost certainly have.
The hell mom?

Regarding the grocery bags busting resulting in their contents falling to the ground, the bag boy should have been properly trained. There should never be that many items, many of them heavier, in a single bag. I guess that’s what happens when good and capable management is let go.

And this was over 30 years ago, imagine how bad the store is now.

Marv and Harry are the toughest bastards to ever live.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but my 5 year old just asked me how did Kevin order pizza without a phone.
I started to explain to her how phones worked back then, but then I realized the phone lines were down.
So, how did Kevin order the pizza?

The phone lines were fixed. He calls 911 also at the end

Just turned on HA2. It’s really staggering how shitty Kevin’s family is.

Just wanted to be a part of a 13 year strong thread. Plus, those are probably my two favorite Christmas movies so it’s a win / win.

I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times.
Tonight I heard Peter breaking Frank’s balls after Frank says “Travelers checks”
Peter quips back “I bet you have the travelers checks that don’t work in France”

I heard that for the first time tonight, too. Also, never realized the Family Crisis cop's name is Balzac.
