THANK YOU! I try to explain this to ppl, and they look at my like I’m crazy.
If OKC didn’t have so many homeless and a weed shop at every corner, it’d be great.

Paging @3YearLetterman
Exactly.

Oats is saying, “You want to play in the most NBA-friendly offense? Then, you have to play defense my way.”

Give/take relationship.
Before last night, he’s the leading scorer in the SEC on a team with ridiculous depth. Not lived up to expectations?

It’s old fashioned coaching, which all sports fans yearn to see in the NIL era. You don’t do what I tell you to do (defense, in this case), you sit the bench.

Jalen Run/Pass Tells

Feet offset = Pass
Feet even = Run
Where to start? Two come to mind.

1. My aunt knew I was a Bama fan and even called me ahead of time to show her excitement for the gift she was mailing me…an Alabama A&M pullover.

2. I was getting older and ready to graduate from my Starter jacket. Asked for a new jacket from my dad (only saw him in summer). He proceeded to get me a Wilson’s Leather jacket right off the clearance rack that looked like something Jim Brown would wear. I almost threw up when I saw it.

Honorable Mention: My brother asked for dress shoes. My dad got him Bostonians with the tassels. He took scissors and cut the tassels off. We still laugh about that.

Just like a game can be decided by just 3-5 specific plays, I’m convinced the illegal touching call cost us the playoffs. Worst case, 10 points looks way better than 3. Best case, we get momentum and win the game.

And of course, USC would likely be in if they don’t get hosed in The LSU game.
You always catch something new. Watched HA2 and noticed Tim Curry’s character’s name…Mr. Hector.

Also read that Uncle Frank’s “Cool Jerk” yelling part (“I’ll slap you silly” was ad libbed by the actor.

Found myself in dad-mode. At the end, I said…How is that island going to support all these new people? War incoming.

Compared to the original, this one gets a 4/10 for me. On its own, maybe a 5.5/10.

The Oklahoma sideline telling him to throw it…

I officiated HS football (line judge and linesman) for two years, so am not an expert, but know a little bit. This is a huge part of why it happened. The sideline can influence the call.

I wish KDB would’ve known 100% how wrong it was, called a TO, and had a full meeting with the white hat.

Worst Call Ever

The overall state of the program doesn’t change based on this one call, but…

1. The call was 100% wrong, and it’s not a subjective call like DPI. End man LOS are either on or off, and it’s communicated between end man and official. Official called it correctly throwing the flag when he did IF Williams was covered. He wasn’t.

2. Do we still lose? More than likely. Does it affect the momentum of the game? Absolutely. Anybody who watches cfb knows momentum is a huge factor.

3. What would’ve been the reaction of this happened at BDS? I really hope bottles wouldn’t have been thrown, but they probably would have.

4. Will the official be held accountable? Will the SEC do anything? We know the answer.

Better Freshman Season?

Derrion Reed, Aidan Sherrill, Labaron Philon, or Naas Cunningham?

I’m feeling good about Reed.

re: The Newsroom (HBO Max)

Where it shined for me was its handling of social media and how it’s affecting the news both positively (avg people can voice opinions and be key witnesses to events) and negatively (clicks for $$, news reported but not fact checked, etc). Think of how many young people get their “news” from TikTok, Instagram, etc. these days.

Maybe I’m late to the party, but I found it informative and entertaining.

The Newsroom (HBO Max)

Just finished the series and really enjoyed it. I’ve seen the vast majority of HBO original series, but had never even heard of this one til a friend recommended it.

Anybody else seen it? Thoughts? My overall take is if you don’t take politics too seriously, it’s a great watch. Good character development and challenges how you view the news you take in.
The Netflix season(s) of Arrested Development. So disappointing.
