SPOILER ALERT!!!
If you watched the reboot of the series you know that it ended with Rory telling Lorelei she is pregnant. but we don't know who the father is, Logan or the one night stand.My analysis is that it's history repeating itself: Lorelei gets pregnant by the rich guy Christopher but he's flaky and she ends up with Luke, the small town steady guy who has always been there for her. Flash forward, Rory's baby daddy is rich boy Logan, who is flaky, but Jess, Luke's nephew is there for her..I predict she will stay in Stars Hollow and raise her baby alone, with Jess in the role "Luke" played with Lorelei and Rory. History repeats.

My wife likes it.

My wife watches and the few I’ve sat through are pretty bad TV. Shitty characters, worse script and the line delivery style is so forced and self important. It’s unbearable to watch.

Kirk is definitely the court jester of Stars Hollow. Practically every moment he has on screen is comedy relief.

It was a guilty pleasure show for me. Something about the writing, characters, and delivery cracked me up even though as a 20 something year old guy, I was not target audience. I've tried to watch a show here and there on Netflix for nostalgia sake and I can't make it through episodes anymore. My attention span for shows in general has diminished, but still it just doesn't work for me anymore.

I agree with you, except for the self important part. There definitely was a lot of that in the writing, especially the main characters.
