Let’s over-analyze Gilmore Girls and how horrible they are.

Wife got me started on this show and we are on our second full watch thru. I never liked Rory, especially at her actions with Dean and Jess. She is self-centered and spoiled, despite growing up “poor”. It’s because the town worshipped her and her whims.
Now I see how terrible Lorelai is also, looking at her relationship with Max, and then Luke down the line. And how she treats her parents.
Luke is a pansy beeeyotch, throwing fits when Lorelai doesn’t love him.
Honestly the only redeeming characters are her parents and Logan, they are consistent in their personalities, who they are, they are forgiving and giving. And they get treated like crap from the two Lorelais and keep coming back.
Also the Jess character was a worthless scumbag, how anyone is Team Jess blows my mind. His literal purpose was to pull Rory away from everyone, he is like Lorelai to her parents.

The fast talking shite is annoying af.
the only scene i actually remember is when Rory was in school and the guy who later starred in one tree hill was messing with her.
He wanted to fight Dean. Dean was like "you're wearing a tie, it would be like fighting an accountant".

Logan sucks and rory’s character goes to shite after she gets involved in his world. Can’t stand the smug little shite
Jess was the GOAT. It was only a matter of time before someone like him came along and pulled Rory away from boring arse Dean.
Emily and Paris are the best characters. Shoutout to Taylor as well. In fact most of the supporting cast is great. It was a very well cast show.

Lorelai tried so hard to raise Rory the opposite way she was raised.

Logan's steam punk friends might be the cringiest characters in tv history. And I agree Rory is a terrible person. You will especially think so if you watch the reunion season.

My wife watched it (multiple times) and also has the box set. I absorbed it by circumstance until I started really listening to it, and realized how great the writing is. I came to appreciate the show.

My wife binged it once.
I liked the fast talking.
The wit was similar to Simpsons with obscure literature and culture references.
That was the only redeeming quality of the show.
Everyone in the town was like fingernails on a chalk board.
My only takeaway is that I'm thankful and blessed to have lived in the south all of my life.

Once you include A Year in the Life, he ends up being the best of the 3 guys and too good for Rory.

Even before that he ended up being the best.
He was the one who went off on Rory in season 6 and basically got her to reconcile with Lorelai, leave the Gilmores, leave Logan and go back to Yale.
Rory, like a bitch, crawled back to Logan though.
