King of Queens- what a disgusting show

its so disgusting to watch the behavior of these two characters, Doug and Carrie. Usually sitcoms are funny because we can relate to them, imagining ourselves in a similar predicament, etc.
But these characters are psychotic , doing the most outrageous deplorable things , engaging in dysfunctional behavior that one could never really envision doing oneself.
In one episode they want to sabotage a relationship of a couple, and force them to break up, because it would be a convenience for them in some petty way. In another episode Carrie goes behind Doug’s back and instructs Doug’s psychiatrist what they should focus on. They are just horrible , evil people. In another episode, their pastor admonishes then for not being at mass on Sunday; they attend mass, when during prayer time, Carrie prays for a pay raise at work. When she actually gets the raise, her and Doug start behaving like idiots and spend the rest of the show using prayers anytime they want something to go their way. Doug prays for the outcome of a ball game on TV for instance. Towards the end of the show, Doug and Carrie at the deli and their priest is in line ahead of them ordering food. Doug notices there’s only one piece left of a particular choice of food that he really really wants, so he and Carrie pray in unison with bowed heads that the priest will select something else. The writers of this show are disgusting!!!
