I'm not an expert movie critique so I don't know if the writing, acting, production, etc. is technically better in Justified but I do know that I enjoyed it more than Breaking Bad and do like Breaking Bad.

I'm not enough of a film buff to say whether or not it's "better" but it's certainly more entertaining to watch.

Just finished BB rewatch, in season 6 of Justified rewatch.
For me BB is hard to watch. Was painfully slow at times, and so many hateable characters. WW is arguably the evilest of all the evil protagonist (Vic Mackey and Tony Soprano would like a word). It’s great tv, but not my favorite.
Justified is one of my all time favorites. I love the dialogue in Justified. some of the secondary characters were phenomenal: mags bennet, Wynn Duffy, Elstin Limehouse, judge Reardon, dickie bennet, Dewey crow. Also Winona was so fine.
Obviously subjective, but justified>BB

I suspect it’s because Elmore Leonard is a damn good writer and tends to nail supporting characters in a way that makes the story much more immersive than it would be otherwise.

I will also say as great as Justified is, my favorite thing about the show was the chemistry between Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins.
Might need to do a rewatch of this soon.

The best. The conflict, especially when the viewer can justify it logically, keeps it burning. Add that to Goggins and a style that appeals to our crowd... Damn.

I’ll back you on that one. I can’t get past 4 or 5 episodes of BB. Tried several different times to watch and just can’t get into it.
Justified is awesome. Maybe time to do a rewatch.

He was, but the source material was just a short story. I don’t remember the details of the short story but you’ve gotta give credit to the Justified writers for 90% of the series.
