Except they fricked that all up too but again it's so much better that the other two so it gets a pass even though it's average at best.

Exactly

Anakin/Vader's backstory had already been completely fricked by that point that I didn't care. I see what he's saying though. RotS was better than the previous 2 films that it was reviewed better. Just shows how long we had forgotten the original trilogy.

I actually consider that review one of the best amateur films I've ever seen. It's incredibly well done.

Mr. Plinkett is hilarious and spot on in his review

The Phantom Menace is an awful, awful movie. Attack of the Clones is boring as frick.

Revenge of the Sith is a good movie. It's rated higher than Jedi.

just because a scene "looks good" doesn't make it a good scene. I mean it was fricking clones versus termites/robots. Who the hell are we supposed to care about?

The problem with the prequels is that instead of making Star Wars movies for Star Wars fans they made movies for the Star Wars fan's kids and grandkids. Everything outside of the light saber scene in Menace and about half of RotS was corny and amateurish. frick Lucas

i felt like they did this for The Hobbit movie as well, or at least with the first movie. TLOTR was fairly dark and heavy, but outside of the scene with gollum, the first hobbit movie looked like a cartoonish adventure.

You must not have read the books.

The Hobbit was a kid's book.

I'm the age that he was probably writing those movies for but thankfully my parents introduced me to the real Star Wars when I was very young

I liked the Phantom Menace it's a guilty pleasure. But Attack of the Clones made me ashamed to like Star Wars.

One day in the future hopefully these will receive a reboot. It's too good of a base for a great movie to not at least try to do it right.

The casting of Anakin (young and old), the inclusion of Jar-Jar (and similar characters), the ridiculous forced drama and the desire by Lucas to be cute with his CGI doomed this trilogy.

If you watch the new versions of the original, some inclusions of new screen cuts make sense but overall most are just there for him to showoff and it usually doesn't work.

I watched Real Steel last weekend and the kid in that does 100x the job the young Anakin does. I was thinking the entire time, how much better would the new SW be with him instead of the wooden Anakin.

i watched it to yesterday

it amazes me that all those executives and Lucas sat in a room when they tested the movie and actually liked jar jar and anakin.

it was so wooden and the acting was awful. the visuals and battles were cool but still.

episode 2 was slightly better.

I actually thought episode 3 was good.

I don't think the casting of old Anakin was that bad, it was just the character that was annoying. Young Anakin was bad on both character and actor

This!

all these idiots bashing TPM conveniently ignore the most crucial piece of information in the entire Star Wars Galaxy---MIDICLORIANS!

Anakin is off the charts and that is just a FACT! If people would take the time to really understand Midiclorians they would have a FAR different view of these films.
