I actually think that Darth Maul is somewhat of a ridiculous villain, but I will agree that the light saber battle was pretty sweet

TPM also had the best SFX in the prequels. This looks like a drawing not an actual city.

Darth maul was badass and the fight against obi wan and qui gon was my favorite in all 6 movies.

I got a cheap ticket to the 3D re-release of TPM and I had forgotten how bad it was. Every character was either wooden or a caricature and it was just poor.

Jar Jar Binks is the worst character in the history of movies, hands down.

The prequels were such a waste. With one of the most beloved franchises in movies and knowing they were pretty much guaranteed to make bank, they could have put the effort in and gotten the talent to make these great. Instead they were barely above a fiasco.

I actually consider that review one of the best amateur films I've ever seen. It's incredibly well done.

AOTC is much worse and totally nonsensical at times. For all it's faults, and there are many, at least Phantom Menace is coherent.
