I thought it was quite overrated. It was better than the other DCEU films but nowhere near the hype it got. Marvel is still making far and away better films which is sad because I still love the DC super heroes.

I finally saw it and have to agree with this. I didn't dislike the movie, but it certainly didn't resonate with me. It was kind of just okay. The moments of levity and humor fell quite flat for me.

That said, the score and sound fx were really good. It was also nice to see a DC movie that's not grayscale in HD.

Wonder Woman's hype stems from people being impressed over the fact that it's the first good DC cinematic universe film and girl power (female director/female lead).

If Wonder Woman was a Marvel film, I feel like it would be considered fairly middle of the road. I honestly enjoyed Justice League more.

I agree with this completely. I have no idea how anyone can say Wonder Woman was any better than, say, Ant man or Dr Strange.

Agree with this. Overall it was a good movie. Not great. I liked the WWI setting which was an interesting take. GG was an okay actress. Overall, it was watchable.

You're just trolling for downvotes. Criticizing Wonder Woman on this board is almost as frowned upon as criticizing Star Wars.

Well, Doctor Strange had cultural appropriation, but Wonder Woman had girl power.

I know we all shite on the the fact that every ancient culture speaks with a british accent in movies, but the Amazonian accents were just bizarre in this one.

But I can't think of a superhero actress right now that can actually act. Captain Marvel will be interesting because I simply don't see Brie Larson as a superhero.

Wonder Woman worked because she was a warrior. It was not girl power, she is a immortal goodess. She was basically a masculine warrior inside a female body. They had the perfect actress for the costume. She was a bit exotic and the story was not half bad. It was not a great movie, the Dark Knight level, but it was not bad at all.

I didn't go see it at the theater and I go see just about everything that interests me. However, I decided to give it a try on a flight to Europe recently and actually liked it.

No troll, I just watched King Author last night and I literally thought it was better than Wonder Woman.

I liked Wonder Woman for the first third where they are explaining her backstory. That part was good. As soon as they started fighting it became like every other Marvel movie. In other words largely a piece of shite.

False. Gal Gadot's terrible acting and that abysmal 3rd act says hi.

You must hate every Star Wars film other than Rogue One.

Huge difference between over acting and bad acting.
