I thought it was quite overrated. It was better than the other DCEU films but nowhere near the hype it got. Marvel is still making far and away better films which is sad because I still love the DC super heroes.

The MCU are no longer films. They are products. And they've been that way since Phase 3 started. I'm hoping and praying that this next Thor movie as well as Infinity Wars will break the cycle, but the MCU has gotten a little bit stale for me.

You're just trolling for downvotes. Criticizing Wonder Woman on this board is almost as frowned upon as criticizing Star Wars.

I actually enjoy the continued butthurt that this film's success has brought to this board. It's been about two or three weeks since we had this thread...it was time. Keeps it fresh.

You mean you thought it was good? Because it wasn't. It was bad.

I agree with you 100%....but God forbid you say anything negative about DC, the sharks will come.

I liked it. I was also fairly aroused the entire movie. Went home and jerked off furiously.

I really hope DC is paying you for this nonsense.

Overly long, lame as frick villain, wooden acting, not enough development of character or the love interest before the "twist", lame as frick twist, muddy action. Overall a bad movie. But you can't say that in the press.

It is, at best, watchable, because Gal Gadot is attractive and Chris Pine is charismatic as frick. That is it. Truly, truly, truly a movie that was propped up by Hollywood to show how it has progressed. fricking abysmal. Write, cast, and direct a great movie starring a female superhero and then shower it with acclaim.

And I don't even blame Gal Gadot. She's just not a great actress yet. She's a model acting. And you could see her start to get better in the movie in certain spots, but she's just not a real actress yet. If this were 15 years ago, I'd have said throw all the money you can at Angelina Jolie and let her go to town. But I can't think of a superhero actress right now that can actually act. Captain Marvel will be interesting because I simply don't see Brie Larson as a superhero.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed as well with the movie. I definitely bought into the hype as well

I also watched this late after it had already hit the rentals. I agree it is overrated, but that's because it got built up so much while in theaters. I enjoyed it. It was definitely a really good movie, but it had some problems. That's not taking away from the fact that it's the best DCEU film to date and it's better than a handful of marvel movies. Gal Gadot nails the role, and I really liked Chris Pine also.
