My daughter will be 4 this summer, so she's all about some Disney movies. She's watched the frozen movies countless times. A couple months ago, after the shipwreck, she asked what happened to the parents and my wife told her they died. A few hours later, she came over to give us hugs and said "I don't want my mommy and daddy to die"

If the house doesn’t end up exactly on the falls at the end like in the painting I don’t even know if you break even emotionally.
Showing us carl and ellie from childhood till Ellie’s death
seeing that they can’t have kids but still love kids and work with them at the zoo and then Carl is so heart broken that he hates kids.
Russell’s broken home and absent father
Carl meeting his hero who inspired him and his wife his whole life only to find he’s a murdering lunatic.
I mean damn. yeah I guess it’s nice he has a friend at the end…

Went to see Toy Story 2 and when Jessie is telling her story and that song kicks in. I a fighting like hell to keep it together and I hear behind me a mom telling her little girl "don't cry sweetie" I fricking lost it.

This. It is an incredibly not sad movie overall, the opening just rips your heart out.
Saw someone else mention it but Coco gets me every time too, when Mama Coco finally responds. Such a well done scene.

Coco hit me hard. I first watched it when my little girl was around 3 and sitting on my lap.
I grew up with 2 very different sets of grandparents, one set who loved us dearly, would give you the shirt off their backs, but sadly passed long before my wife and kids were around. The other set we saw maybe once a year at Christmas, were always cold and distant and never felt loving towards us at all. That grandmother never met my kids, and the first time my grandfather met them was at my grandmother's funeral, my kids were 2 and 4 at the time. I would often tell my wife how much my other grandparents would've loved her, and our children, but sadly were never given the opportunity.
I watched Coco with my daughter not knowing anything about it, and it managed to bring up all those feelings and I cried like a baby. I've tried watching it a few more time since then and can't do it.
