In the pantheon of the WORST wives and girlfriends in TV/movies…

Obviously Skylar Green and Carmella Soprano get lots of recognition, rightfully so.
Re-watching The Shield right now. Shane’s girlfriend/wife, Mara, I think is the all time worst. She comes in and screws things up from the start, and she gets worse every season. She never listens to anyone and constantly makes things worse for Shane, herself, her family, anyone/everyone. She’s a textbook borderline personality. Too bad Shane knocked her up so quickly. He might have been able to escape her clutches.

Hell, Carmella isn't even the worst in The Sopranos. Janice was by far the worst wife/gf, and was in several different relationships. She was absolutely insufferable.
At least Carmella always had some Italian dish in the fridge you could eat at any moment, and she could mobilize the family in a crises. Janice couldn't cook, was always a blubbering mess, and just all around awful.
