Took my boys to Wrestlemania this year. Once inside, I enjoyed it, but holy shite, getting in and out was a pain. Thank god for the tram at Mandalay Bay once we got to it.

Then why make a policy that would elongate both the bag check process (lines likely 3x as long) on the front end and the bag retrieval process on the back end? Unless airlines throw massive resources at this to support it on both ends, that is the result. Sure they could charge for the carry on, but unless it is a universal decision, every business traveler (who they cater to, that is their biggest $ maker) will just flock to another airline.

Most frequent business travelers can check bags for free. Those folks goal is to spend the least amount of time possible in the airport. Having to wait at baggage claim at current volume factoring in deboarding time is already less than ideal (thus making the choice of not checking bags even for free). Speeding one up without dramatically speeding up the other is even worse.

They took a good thing and thought multiplying it was the answer. Jordan drops used to cause people to save up and go wait in line to buy them. It was an event. Now LBJ, Giannis, Luka, Tatum, Zion, Ja, and Devin Booker all have signature shoes. Nobody gives a crap.
They are lucky they have the agreements with the sports leagues as well as the top collegiate programs outside of a few. I dont have a strong opinion on Nike, but that would change the second UGA decided to go with Adidas or Under Armour. Oh hell no, have you seen the crap they put out? That new fly Nike polo for a new season was a thing. However, just like they did with their running shoes, they are opening the door for Onward and others to poach that market. They didnt see the fact that things changed and people will pay $150 for shoes or more than $70 for a comfortable polo. I try not to, but surveying the amount of Hokas, Rhobacks, etc out there, a hell of a lot of people will.

The Last Jedi was dumb, but The Rise of Skywalker was by far the worst movie of that pathetic trilogy.
This is all subjective of course, but IMHO if ROS is a pile of crap, TLJ is a landfill full of bantha fodder. One tried to rip the heart out of a franchise. The other did some really dumb crap trying to make a Star Wars like movie after its predecessor wanted to burn the whole thing to the ground. TLJ makes me angrier than pretty much any form of entertainment that I have ever tried to enjoy.

The stretch from Macon to Dublin, particularly the Twiggs County area is a cash cow for the state patrol. As someone who (sadly) drives that way often, I have to set my cruise control and just bear with it.

When talking with my daughter, I started using “low key” constantly like she did. She never said anything about it, but I’ve noticed her use of the term “low key” has virtually vanished. I don’t think I’ve heard her use the term in months.
I did something similar. Two years ago or so when "rizz" was in heavy rotation in my kids conversations, I went and bought a shirt that says "This dad has Rizz" in big letters. Wore it to the airport on a family trip. Every compliment I got from random strangers upped the redness in their faces. Not sure I heard it much after.
re: Former NBA Center Enes Kanter declares for the 2027 WNBA draft

Didnt he officially change his last name to Freedom towards the tail end of his career and then claimed he was blackballed out due to his criticism of the league for their relations with China? He also allegedly had a bounty put on his head by the leader of Turkey for being critical of him also.
He is either really strange or really disliked by people in power. With the NBA being the benefactor for the WNBA, there is a 0% chance this happens on top of everything else.

No one else could’ve done that and those few months he was with the Brewers were the most unbelievable few months I’ve ever seen out of a pitcher.
The Brewers gave zero fricks if his arm fell off too. They brought the phrase "drive it like a rental" to life. His last three regular season starts were on four days rest and then he pitched on three days rest in the playoffs. Dude was incredible during that stretch and did it even knowing he wouldnt be with the team the next year.

The moment The Last Jedi hit the screens, critics of the prequels (including me) suddenly knew the floor could get a lot lower than they thought.
In my opinion, the first two prequels could have been combined into one movie. Cut out a lot of the silliness and the over the top focus on the love story which was really tough to watch. At the same time, 3 was a really good movie, but I felt the turn that we all knew was coming happened too quickly. One minute Anakin is still doing the right thing and suddenly he is killing Padawans? There should have been some clearer signs and chances where Anakin had to struggle with decisions. That struggle plus more of a focus on Maul and the transition to Tyranus could make the second and third movies. However, once that was taken care of....the ending of that movie was up there with the OG 3.

re: When the lockout comes for MLB on December 1, what will be the main disagreement
Posted by Hooligan33 on 5/29/26 at 2:56 pm to Oilfieldbiology
My curiosity about this whole thing is that the MLB owners would need to be in agreement (at least a majority of them) for these proposals to be made. The recent MLB proposal had a $245M cap and a $171M floor. Using Fangraphs, there are 6 teams above that cap and 15 clubs under the floor currently. Those 15 in particular would have to agree to pony up before the official offer could be made. The Marlins are almost $100M short. I could see the owners on both sides of that spectrum having some contentious debate before the players get involved at all.
The TV money being shared likely will buoy a lot of that talk, but if you are the Dodgers or other big market franchise, why would you support that?

Dude is part of the Patriots lore and just took them to the Super Bowl after crap seasons. They were more likely cheering the fact that Kraft and others did the sensible thing and didnt devalue their season tickets and aspirations over something that is really none of our business.

Perhaps I am misreading your reply and you were just speaking to a lack of respect, but just for clarification purposes....this bruh thing is waaay more a thing with the fairer complexion. I had to correct my daughter the other day doing it repeatedly in one conversation. Every kid in my neighborhood does it. Its ridiculous.

Rodman couldn't even think of stopping LeBron. As I stated previously you need team defense to stop a guy of that caliber. And I'm a MJ is the GOAT Lebron can't hold his jock guy.
100% agree. I am also firmly in the Jordan GOAT camp, but this worship of Rodman is just not accurate. Karl Malone averaged 27 ppg in matchups vs Rodman with Rodman only needing to play traditional post/spot up defense. LBJ is basically the same size as Malone but is 3x (if not more) capable of putting the ball on the floor or extending Rodman out to the 3 pt line where his speed then gives him even more of an advantage. LBJ would be bothered sure, but he isnt getting stopped by Dennis.
I try to remind folks that the Bulls got Rodman for Will Purdue straight up. Purdue had basically shown he wasnt worth his high draft pick and was not the center of the future Krause envisioned. Rodman got traded for a backup center. The entire league could have had him for peanuts because he only provided help on one end of the floor and was a total shitshow off of the court. Phil and Jordan gave him the chance to be a HOF player. It is only because Jordan was so freaking incredible that they could plug Rodman in and let his limited skills flourish and it not kill the team. Horace Grant was actually a better player than he was IMHO.

Packers/Ravens on 12/27 was aired only on Peacock. It looks like the local NBC stations aired it in the respective teams area, but the rest of the country needed a subscription for that one.

I am in the same boat. After the side piece(s) scandal and he wasnt winning at the same clip, I hoped he would embrace it, line the fairways with hot chicks in red, then get back to kicking everyone's asses. What a grown arse man does with his own time is on him.
That said....he needs to never drive another automobile again. That isnt "on his own time."

I took my daughter to see him this past weekend in Tampa (it was her Xmas present). I tried to listen to him prior so I wouldnt be 100% lost, but like you, felt like almost every song was depressing as hell.
Fast forward to the show....1) Caamp was very good although at one point I realized the lead singer looks like Macaulay Culkin with Tom Selleck's hair and moustache and couldnt unsee it. 2) Raymond James was packed full of people 3) It seems like he increases his tempo a tad on all his songs live, which made it more palatable 4) Dude has a full freaking band behind him, I am talking multiple cellos, violin, fiddle, trumpets, you name it. 5) I had zero knowledge of the whole Homeland security stuff going in, but he seemed to have the common sense not to push that hard, he made a quick comment and then played the song. While not my cup of tea, it was definitely a spectacle and a fun time. I would see him again if someone offered me a ticket.
I did laugh at one point, during one of the mini breaks the various string musicians played the Godfather theme. I knew that 75% of the folks in attendence had never heard that before. The oldes like me in the crowd all were nodding our heads.

I honestly did not like watching him play. I thought he was way overrated, all sizzle and no steak. His highlights were awesome, but if he were the PG on my favorite team, he would have driven me insane with his turnovers and defense, etc. Iconic Nike dribbling commercials though.

Kids imitate stars. Fernando Tatis, Acuna, and others are amongst the most popular players in baseball and they wear colorful accessories. Same with basketball shoes.
